Darn those moving goal posts!

No car analogies here. You wanted a cylindrical car, you got one. With multiple fan stages inside.

If someone is spending a minimum of 3K on a workstation, is not likely using it as a fashion statement.
Why? People bought the $1k barely of any use Apple Watch... The nMP is in the same category.

Modulability. As my nMP has gone on the fritz due to a faulty I/O controller chip (mainly having to do with Thunderbolt, ironically), all I had to do was plug 6 cables into my oMP to get my set up back up (plus a data migration via Time Machine). Couldn't have been more simple or easy.

I'm not being sarcastic here either. Both machines are awesome for their own reasons, I'm just surprised how easy it was to swap from one system to another without loosing a beat. Maybe the external expandability does have a point.
After watching Star Wars movie....I sense a strong force in you. According to Jedi Newspaper, Yoda stated, "Many Jedi types they are, yes, old, young...still a jedi. If one can not agree with another, dark war I see between Jedi knights...."
"Do not go to the dark side of Mac forces..."

The Apple watch is designed not just for function, but for fashion.

The nMP... Form factor: At 11 pounds it makes a terrible wearable compared to the Apple watch. People who are trying to make it a fashion statement want to show it off, not so easy with the nMP or practical.

Of course it's a fashion statement. Fashion isn't limited to wearables only.
Buying anything where forms is put over function is a bloody fashion statement. The only way the nMP wouldn't be a fashion statement would be if it's performance and functionalities were better than the old model which it isn't.

Because they never thought past putting all the parts in a box. Or as some people like to say "Thinking outside the box" Cooling fans are not square, they are round, common sense, but not forward thinking enough to make the casing round as well.
Uh...how does this change what I said?

Hehheh :) I like the way you think :)

As an aside, your remark made me remember this bag, which is specifically for the Mac Pro. At 11 pounds, it's actually pretty luggable.

There's almost no chance of Apple ever going back to the box, so I'm not sure what's the point of this seemingly endless debate on the merits of the nMP.

I'm aware of what an HP Z-series workstation is (as I own a Z600). I'm not clear on what it is you're trying to say.

To me, HP Z is function over form. The cMP is also function over form. The nMP is form over function. That's why I used the HP Z to describe the ideal Mac representing function over form, which the nMP is not (the nMP form will evolve and eventually be amazing but today it's kind of in its infancy).
