iTunes was dead for me after version 4. They did nothing but add useless gimmicks to a once very simple and highly useful product. But I'm an oldschool sorta guy. I don't buy or stream music online since my internet is awful, so I'm probably one of the few people in the world still buying CDs on a regular basis.

Rural life dictates. 10GB data cap at home. 4GB data cap in town and when traveling, (all split between a family and multiple devices). No data cap at work, where we can update our devices without many complaints. 14 miles of 22 mile commute is dataless, both directions. Click and w a i t . . .

We buy our content, if we ever want to see it again. iTunes is free to bid on it too.

Counter to most of my peers, my college budget just doesn't allow for recurring payments for streaming services when I have bills to pay every month. I've already put quite a bit of money into my iTunes collection, so it just doesn't make sense to me to pay a monthly fee to access what I already have unlimited access to. I'm also limited to sharing 6gb of data with my family. Not to mention that my car is stuck in 2007 and needs an fm transmitter to play my iPod Classic or iPhone, so streaming would just waste that much more battery.

So I would be really sad if the current iTunes Store went away. I would probably just buy through Amazon since full albums tend to be cheaper anyway. It would make buying singles annoying though.
