I was being sarcastic. I don’t think the iPhones are gonna be getting any bigger then the Max.
I think it’s already too big. So ironically, I think they may as well make it bigger. If I’m bringing a satchel for my phone it may as well be an iPad.
There's a reason they called it the 'Max'. I'm pretty sure it's the biggest display we'll see in an iPhone.
At least, I doubt Apple has any plans for the foreseeable future to go bigger. It's already pushing the limits of what you can comfortably carry in one hand.

Unless Apple plans to debut artificial limbs designed to hold and use a bigger phone at some keynote down the road, I’d be very surprised if phones got bigger than the Max.

I bet you apple is testing larger sizes. The max size that’s pocketable and still relatively easy to use one handed. I think 6.8” is definitely possible. And wider is possible without feeling much bigger in your pocket.
Think about how much apple will sell for the max? Not having it last year was a trick to get the max potential for the phone this year.
In a few years they could offer two new sizes again but only one size one year. The new sizes the following to get more upgraders.

Perhaps people were hoping the Max would rival the Blu Studio 7.0 inch smartphone. Look at the difference between the two! I love the size of my Max, but I have to admit I'd love it if they made it as big as the Blu phone - perhaps next year.

When I went to collect my XS, I had a hold of the Max and was surprised to find it didn’t feel as big as I imagined.
I feel the same way. Coming from a Plus phone, I thought pictures and videos would be bigger. I'm kind of disappointed because it does not feel different/bigger than a Plus when I'm watching a video. I think it could be a bit wider. I still love it though. It feels elegant in your hands.

I find it rather amusing. Work, gym, grocery store, all glued to the thing, even when they drive or go to the movie theater. Waiting for the iPad mini sized Iphone, and it comes with a Chewbacca bandolier so it’s always ready to flip out from your chest! Then they’ll make a max version of it that will be the size of an iPad Pro.
