My 8 year old daughter has one (3G) and she does just fine with it. She got it this past Christmas from her grandparents.

My wife & I didn't own a cell phone until we were in our 40s so I put down 1 year old. Give them something I never had as a kid. The only high tech toys we had were transistor radios and sliderules.

wouldnt you worry that giving a kid an iphone with all these features would be a bad idea?

i dont think id want kid to a. not pay attention during school on fb or whatever. and b. use internet to google answers for tests and such. i know most kids prolly have this now. its crazy!!

so it would have to be very limited...

Right? They'd probably end up with terrible grammar and spelling with the inability to form a cohesive sentence.

LMAO! :D

I voted 16 and only if the child was a responsible 16 year old. I remember how many sets of house keys etc. I lost between the ages of 12-16, so a £350-£550 phone, forget about it!
