Thanx for sharing this app, but I can get it to work on my Air. Is there some trick to it?

You should be able to just turn it on and have it work - I know that often Apple changes a few little things in newer revisions of their trackpads, and the developer winds up needing to update Jitouch for them, so you might want to try e-mailing them and asking them if it has been confirmed to work on your Air. Here's how I have mine set up working right now if it helps:

Does SmartSleep do anything on the MBA? I thought the MBA doesn't behave like a typical MBP when put to sleep?

No, it does indeed. If you notice when you put your Air to sleep, the light stays on for a little bit, then starts pulsing. SmartSleep keeps it from writing the contents of RAM to the hard disk, which is especially nice with an SSD, as it saves a good bit of wear and tear. Naturally, this applies to the older Airs.

I'm honestly not really sure what's going on in the new ones, as they seem to have their own special sleep setups.

All what I need for on-the-road development:

XCode
Pixelmator
TestWrangler
iWorks

A second icon maker; name I forgot but recently shopped in AppStore

No VLC, Thunderbird, Firefox or AngryBirds. It's only for dev-work. If more my iMac would get envy.

How does 7 run on the new macbook air?

Quite adequately. In Boot Camp, it flies on the 4GB model and generates a mid-4 Experience Index. Windows 7 has good SSD support. In virtualization, it runs acceptably (much better than it did in the Rev B).

Are you talking about the 11" MBA?

I just finished installing Win 7 (64) on my MBA 13 and with the Bootcamp drivers my Windows Exp Index is 5.3 ...... So i guess no point installing the manuf drivers...

Actually, you are correct. I was quoting from memory. For some reason I thought one score was in the mid-4s but that might have been the Rev B. I have been very pleased with Windows 7's performance on the Rev D.
