ThermoWatch to control my Nest thermostat. Can actually control Nest straight from the widget.

When I upgrade it would definitely be Launcher again. But for now I will stick with iOS9 untill Apple change it back again that you can use URL schemes for e.g. Settings like WIFI, Bluetooth, Battery usage per app/Low power mode area (Battery).

good "widget" are now abit useless because they all the same size and some are showing really nothing info anymore...

i quess the best one is just the "next event" - others seem to be more or less handicapped now.

Up Next, Maps Destinations, and Weather Underground (draws a nice temperature/precip graph for the day). Unfortunately the WU app hasn't been updated for iOS 10 yet so the background is iOS 9 style and a big incongruous.

FYI - LAUNCHER APP HAS BROKEN LINKS NOW. "BATTERY" "BLUETOOTH" "WIFI" AND "SETTING" LINKS NO LONGER WORK. THIS MESSAGE DISPLAYS WHEN TRYING OPEN THEM WITH THE LAUNCHER HOMESCREEN APP:

"WE'RE SORRY, BUT APPLE HAS REMOVED THE ABILITY TO LAUNCH THIS APP(APP NAME) IN IOS10. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT THEM AND KINDLY ASK THEM TO REVERT THIS CHANGE.

THIS SUCKS, NO MORE DIRECT LINKS NOW I HAVE TO SHUFFLE THROUGH SETTINGS TO GET TO WHAT I WANT TO SEE...SIGH...

Yup it really sucks that Apple removed this functionality in iOS10. Although someone received a response from Apple during one of the latest betas that the functionality would return again but that isn't the case yet. See also this blog from the Launcher developer and this Launcher topic.

And you found it that important to write in all CAPS?

Yes, launcher is great and it is really frustrating that Apple removed the ability to access the system app features. They even removed the ability to open the phone app (you can still use launcher to call a specific person).

Send feedback to Apple about the launcher.

I still use launcher in IOS10. I have 5 running, each with the smallest size setting, allowing 7 apps to open. It is very small and clean looking compared to the large ones Apple shows.

You can invoke them with 3D Touch now though. Not the same I know.

I haven't set up Launcher back up again yet. Right now I have the music one, Workflow, Chronicle, Dark Sky, and Drafts.

I was excited for widgets but after using them, I think I will stick to Siri and 3D Touch. They've never been my thing on Mac, Windows and now iOS.

Agenda+ corrects the glitchiness in Apple's stock calendar widgets and provides a view at all-day events as well as standard daily events. Highly configurable and matches the rest of the iOS 10 widget look.

Dark Sky has an excellent widget that matches the rest of the iOS 10 widget look and provides hyperlocal 'next hour' conditions which is aweseome.

World Clock does exactly what you'd think it does, pick different timezones for quick viewing, shows a dial face or digital, and matches the rest of the iOS 10 widget look.

Favorites Widget - Call & Text From The Widget allows you to create a widget of favorite contacts and allows for one-click launch into a phone call, text message, whatsapp, Facetime video, and Facetime audio, blows away the stock favorites widget.

Cheatsheet is a really handy app for quickly writing something down like where you parked at the airport, the name of the guy you always forget, etc. Again, matches the rest of your iOS 10 widgets (clearly important to me).

Magic Lancher and Widget Cal.

Love Magic Launcher. Apple may have killed access to settings but I still need quick access to apps. Also the Magic Launchers are pretty cool. I use them more than I would have guessed.

Widget Cal is my fav calendar widget. It's first update for iOS 10 is a tiny bit buggy but they update pretty regularly.

I use to use Agenda+, but the built in Up Next may replace that.

Still waiting on a lot of others to get updated. If they don't, they're gone.

Not to get too off topic, but I sure wish Apple would make it easier to find apps in the store that have widgets, and require that a picture of the widget be shown.

Agree completely.

When Widgets were buried in the OS I never paid them any attention, didn't use them at all. But now that they are a swipe away on the lock screen they are very accessible and very useful, I need a single place in the app store to go to find the whole lot of them.

To be fair they were only one or two swipes away on the lock screen or petty much any other screen for a few iOS versions now.

If Apple gives widgets more attention in the store, more people will potentially buy them and more developers will potentially create them. Virtuous cycle.

Understood, but they were just too hidden and I simply paid no attention, the extra swipe or two just wasn't any easier or faster than unlocking the phone with TouchID and tapping a page one app.

The little things make all the difference. You ask me, the faster access to widgets is the best new feature of iOS 10.

It seems more like more people are probably stumbling onto it because they are used to swiping right on the lock screen and now they get this when they do it. It's more of a side-effect from that than anything else really.

Unfortunate that we are not seeing more updates for iOS 10 widget look and feel. If a widget doesn't get updated, I will likely dump it. The visual discrepancy will bother me

I kind of like the older widgets, at least the darker background those use. (It would be nice if that was some option to have all widgets--new or old--and even notifications to be able to use that kind of darker background.)
