Mine was an 'iPod Video' in 2005. Still use it to this day(plugged in most of the time since the battery doesn't last long).

My first was the 1st gen Nano, 1GB model I believe. I bought it literally 2 weeks before the 2nd gen was released. As soon as that happened, I gave the 1st gen to my sister and ordered a (RED) 2nd gen...

I won a gray iPod shuffle on a christmas party. But then I got mugged like 5 months later. I liked the thing.

The first iPod I bought myself was the latest white iPod Touch (4G).

I love that thing.

Got a 1st gen ipod in 2002, a few years later handed it down to my kids after the minis came out, and they ask why it was so big:)

1st Gen iPod shuffle. Still use it today for gym... perfect for the beach too. :apple:

My first iPod was a blue iPod Shuffle 2G, purchased in early 2008 right after the price drop. After that, was an iPod touch 2G purchases in Oct. 2008.

Excellent thread!

2003 When the 3rd Generation iPod was released, I purchased it. Knowing I was getting one, for 3 weeks I converted all of my CD's into iTunes. I remember at night while watching TV, I would put 2 CD's in at a time and over and over burn, burn, burn. It was very tedious, but in the end I had something that carried every song I owned in the size of 1 cassette.

Since then, being the good geek I am, I had purchased every iPod upgrade released, selling the previous versions to fund them. I am completely impressed with how far we have come.

30GB white iPod Photo bought in 2005. Still works 100% and holds a charge. I use it in my car because it works and charges with my Pioneer car stereo. I sold my two Classics back in January so it is my only iPod now. This was back when iPods came with the little black pads to cover the ear plugs.

I used it for a few days after purchase and put it away, losing interest. I didn't actually start using it until probably 2007 or so.

I use one of my two iPhones in my other car, my daily driver and bought a Pioneer deck that works with both last month

A first gen iPod shuffle. As a gift for my birthday in 2005. It ended up breaking after a week (the blinking light error). I got an replacement awhile later, which I still own to this day.

First one was 40GB iPod Photo.

Then I got the 80GB iPod Video the day it came out.

Then I got an iPod Touch the day it came out.

Then I got a 120GB iPod Classic in black the day they came out, and still have it to this day. Makes the best music/video server for the in-dash Sat-Nav.
