Exactly what I'm saying. Where's the "consent" button? There isn't one. The consent button is the button that turns the damn thing on. Wise up iPhone users.

With whom was your data shared? At that time the phone will need your consent.

Errm ... it's the same pop-up like when an app requests your camera or mic. Just saying.

I could care less if they track were my phone goes. If someone wants to know how many times I go to starbucks good for them.... I don't care personally.

I’m sorry, but what is there, exactly, to “wise up” to here?

If you’d like a dumb phone, there are options available. I just got one for my 70-year-old Father.

If you believe Apple is accessing this location data when they explicitly say they don't - where does it end? Do you think they're recording and listening in on your phone calls? Sifting through your emails and texts? Because all of that info is available on your phone as well.

Anyone who truly distrusts Apple this much should avoid iPhones, period.

Yep, that's the button of consent.

Apple.com/Privacy

Agreed. Literally says on the Significant Locations settings page: "Significant Locations are encrypted and cannot be read by Apple."

I guess some folks can't accept Apple's word on this? That's kinda what the article suggests.
Surprised this isn't common knowledge.
BTW, love your profile picture

It’s in the T&Cs you agreed to in full when you first set up your device and to which you also agree in full with every single OS update.

Without you knowing - I've known about this for years and several IOS releases. It works great for several things and it easy to disable and/or get rid of items.
Learn what a device can do before you complain.
Goggle and Facebook are the ones tracking you without your knowledge as other apps report your location to them
