I have a Switcheasy Colors Mican case for my 3G iPod touch. I love it, and like the feel with the case on much more than even the iPod touch naked. I originally was going to get an invisible shield, but am very happy that I got the Switcheasy Colors. It is silicone, but is treated to not catch lint, and to slide in and out of pockets easily.

I think that this is the best silicone case for the iPod touch.

Just ordered a 32gb Touch 3rd gen and having serious difficulty finding a case, fancy something like the invisibleshield but they don't see 3G ones yet, HELP!

Because Ipods are notorious for scratching if a feather blows on them, in the case of the touch thats mainly the chrome back, which looks like Ass if kept uncovered. So the key is finding a case that protects while not making the thing look terrible.
This is what is quite weird. People seem to be obsessed with the backs but covering it seems stupid if it's never seen or admired.

I have a 3rd Gen 32GB that is currently naked. I might get an invisibleshield for the screen down the road but that would be it. I don't really worry about the back scratching since I don't need to look at it ever.

Just ordered me an Invisible Shield and some cheap iPod socks for when it's in my bag. Sorted.

Well excited about the first iPod I've bought since 2004!

I just took off my case an hour ago, and I was speechless when I did.

It looks so sexy without a case, and it feels great.

I just wish I had taken off the case earlier.

I had a hard case for about 9 months and it started breaking apart on me around the 30-pin connector. So I ditched that and bought a silicon case. I was afraid it would be flimsy, tacky, or unstable to some extent. But I took it out and put it on the iPod and I really love it. It protects the iPod well, it's sturdy, and makes it feel really substantial in your hand, I was surprised. I like the look of it too. I don't know the shelf life of these, I guess we'll find out. I hope I won't have to replace it.

So to answer the question, protected, no doubt. Leaving it without a case makes it really easy to scratch. I don't like that at all.

im not sure if this is true but ive heard alot of people say that apple and case companies made an agreement on the chrome, that they know scratches easily and is extremely apparent, so that we make sure to buy cases more.
seriously, true or not, i think its true, why else would they use that material, it worked
