Keeping an iPhone 6 until it dies a horrible death and then...who knows.

Buying a workstation laptop for photo and video editing needs.

Was set on the iPhone 6S plus, then I went to Best Buy today and was able to finally play with the Moto X Pure. Even with the alarm on the back, the phone felt so nice in the hand...so now I'm back to square one deciding between the two.

Was set on the iPhone 6S plus, then I went to Best Buy today and was able to finally play with the Moto X Pure. Even with the alarm on the back, the phone felt so nice in the hand...so now I'm back to square one deciding between the two.

Tbh if I was in the USA if I had to choose the $399 for the X Pure is very compelling. The Pure does feel lovely sat in your hand. I find its screen as good a quality as any of the other flagships and because it's LCD it gets really bright and never had any issue using it outdoors in daylight.

Compared to the Snapdragon 810 in the Nexus 6P and 3gb ram, the 808 however does seem to get a lot warmer running in the Moto X Pure. Noticeably so. Likewise memory management on the X Pure isn't quite as good as Marshmallows memory management in the 6P, but that could easily change when the X Pure gets 6.0

Camera wise I actually find the Pure to be the better camera compared to the Nexus 6P.
But compared to the iPhone 6S+ it can go either way. A photo may come out better in the iPhone or better on the Pure.

Battery life however is a big victory for the 6S+. On average I only get 3.5 hours SOT with the Moto X Pure compared to what must be closer to 6 on the 6S+

However charging time swings this around with the Moto X Pure charging to 100% from 0 in just over an hour. The 6S+ seems to take ages to charge even compared to my old 6+ and using the faster iPad charging brick.

But honestly, either way. Both fab phones. The expandable storage and cheaper entry fee and certainly more ergonomic design, does really work in the favour of the X Pure, but at the cost of a little warm device when being used (not that it affects performance) and less battery life albeit with faster charging.

But a 16gb Moto X Pure and 32/64gb MicroSD is soooo much cheaper than an iPhone 6S+ 64gb.

Personally I'd have both and do, but if I had to choose one, then I would be in a hell of a pickle too.
