The order of a few below may be wrong. Here's as best as I can recall:

Random Nokia
Some Motorola/Nextel thing with push to talk
Another Random Nokia I think
Kyocera something or other. First camera phone, was a flip and had a color screen (also a first for me). I remember it had a good port of Pacman built in, complete with the original music.
Some phone that flipped open to have a full keyboard
Older school blackberry
Moto Razr somewhere in here (the original)
Moto Q
Old school blackberry
Blackberry curve 1
I think Blackberry curve 2
Blackberry Bold
Blackberry Storm (worst phone I've ever owned, hands down)
Blackberry Torch
Galaxy S2
Note 2
LG G2
Nexus 5 (atrocious battery; would be dead by lunchtime often)
Nexus 6 (second worst; audio issues, screen issues, and laggy as all hell because Google introduced storage encryption before the processing power was really there for it to work seamlessly)
Galaxy S6 (quantum leap in how the screen looked over anything else I owned)
Sony Xperia Ultra (don't ever tell the wiseass IT guy "order me the android phone with the largest screen")
LG G5 (one of my favorites)
Nexus 5X
Oppo something or other
Oneplus 3 (another one of my favorites)
Note 6 I think?
Note 7 (my wife and I each got one; I have a pic of them side by side before we had to return them due to the whole catching on fire thing. never forget!)
S9
Note 10
Note 20
Fold 3 (screen broke, prior to that had the best browsing experience by a mile on any phone I've owned)
Iphone 13

I think this is all of them, but I may be forgetting some.

edit: Ooh! Nokia 1020 and Nokia 1520! I loved the 1520. Windows phone was actually good for a hot minute there.

Any reason why if you don't mind?
personally, they are annoying, dangerous (many refuse to put those down while driving today) and spam riddled.
I remember telling a friend when these pocket phones were released in 1992 i would never want a phone in my pocket. since i am not a doctor i really do not need one.

my itouch G4 camera is not working, and the battery-bluetooth is fading, so i might look into an upgrade soon.

I think their benefit outweighs their risks but of course everyone to their own.

I can't imagine not having access to 911 in case of emergency and nav in case I'm lost. Other stuff I might see wanting to do without, but not those.
while cycling on 2009, a car pulled over in-front of me, and their passenger was having a seizure
just a nice wave of a passing car was all we needed to alert an ambulance though their phone.
since everyone has these things, they are always available.

I can remember what it looked like, but the brand I don’t know. Mine had a British Telecom logo on it but Ford also gave the phone away with certain cars, this was about 95/96.

My list is a bit extensive but Nokia used to give me phones to test and some I could keep, some were gifted and some were bought sim free, good times they were.

I didn't get my first phone until I was like 20-21 (and it was one my parents bought me on a plan with 'Cricket' that had literally no-add ons........i.e. I could receive texts, but couldn't send em)

Kyocera Dorado

Kyocera-KX13-Dorado.webp

Then I eventually got my own plan with Sprint, starting with a RAZR V3

Motorola-RAZR-V3.webp

After an unfortunate incident with some Jose Cuervo (and the fact I saw myself doing more and more texting), I ended up with a Kyocera Verve

Kyocera-Verve.webp

Then at some point I ended up with an HTC Touch Pro 2 (my last non-Apple phone)

HTC-Touch-Pro2.webp

From there I had the iPhone 4S, 6S and XR, still with Sprint. I didn't hang around too long after T-Mobile snatched them up - moved to Verizon a month or two before those cheapskates got hacked in 2021 I believe and traded my XR in on a 13 Pro Max, which I'm still rocking.

I'll have a go at this, but not sure if I can remember everything.

The first smartphone I remember getting was pre-Phone. It was a Nokia E51 (2007) and would be considered a feature phone these days rather than a smartphone. I think the ability to sync contacts/calendar with computer and the ability to do maps/navigation were the main things that motivated me to buy it instead of a dumb phone. Although I also remember needing to buy some kind of gps peripheral for to do navigation as it didn't have gps built in. When iPhones and early Android phones came out with built-in GPS, large screens (relative to phones with physical keypads) and ability to sync contacts and calendar via web services I was instantly sold.

First iPhone-style smartphone was a HTC Hero (2009).

I think my first iPhone was an iPhone 3GS (2009), probably purchased second hand a couple of years after launch. Since then I've had an iPhone 6S (2015) and an iPhone SE gen 2 (2020). There might be one or two others I've forgotten.

I also had a few Android phones between the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone SE gen 2. I think a Galaxy S4 (2013), a Galaxy Note (can't remember which one), a Galaxy A series phone (can't remember which one), and a Moto G something (can't remember which one). Also tried a Windows phone at some point in that period (probably a Nokia of some sort).

I used the iPhone SE gen 2 until late 2022 and since then have been back on Android with a Pixel 6A.
