I started using Photoshop LE versions 3, 4, and 5 as well as Photo Deluxe, which never got past version 1.0 for Mac.
After using Adobe GoLive for a while, I got a deal from Adobe for Photoshop 6 and have been struggling with the massiveness of the application ever since. Version 7 adds quite a bit to that. Still, there's no alternative at the moment and photo editors are hard work to develop.
