i don't think anyone should bother including apple freebies. we all have them, and we all love them. it's really only the third party ones that others may not have.
1. Clutter (freeware, gets album art directly from amazon to display, and controls iTunes, nicer interface than mini-itunes window, possibly the most perfect freeware app ever?!)
2. Audio Hijack (freeware, record any audio from any selected app, genius)
3. Focus (freeware graphical UI feature that adds to the glossiness of os X I think)
4. Proteus (donationware, IM client, great for chats one-to-one and my favourite but I still miss some features of using MSN Plus for windows)
5. Sound Studio (shareware, but now bundled with new macs, great app for editing audio)
Funny how my choice of apps reflect my fave mac interests, i.e. audio, gui & IM
