yeah i wish the marine corps bought macs....the marine corps is a firm believer in dell
there are only 4 toughbooks on this base, im lucky enough to have one of them :D
i have yet to see a single person with a mac out here.....cant wait to get back to mine, im counting down the days 26 till im back in the states :D :D

and the other IT guy i work with he thinks macs used to be dos and just recently copied windows so they can make money  thats a twice daily argument!

i have introduced the mac to some ppl here but im still trying to introduce most to the whole computer idea
remember most marines arent the brightest of the bunch :p

are there any other work setups, kinda interested in where others make there money....

Thanks for the info.

Well good luck with the conversion from typewriter to computer and then to mac's

Here is my work setup. I am a gradual student studying chemistry. I always end up with piles and piles of stuff all over my desk.

I don't think the school where I work would let me take pics. :(
I'm an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) and I can use whatever I want at work. So, I use my iBook, 12'' PB or 15" TiBook :)

The schools all use NECs (dreadful machines) so I have to use m$ office. I save word .docs on my USB flash disk and print them from work machines. Other than that, I never touch windows computers.

I have my own wireless dial-up internet service, so I don't use the school's network, either.

My little corner of the world

Looking as tidy as always. :)

Note the Dell crushed beneath the monitor.

Very nice. I like the poster on the wall :D

"REMINDER: Your urgent job is tomorrow's chip wrapper!!!"

A colleague of mine (not a designer) put that up after hearing us make that joke... to the right, out of frame is another similar set-up (G5 dual 2.5), there's another one to the left about 15ft away.

The 1.25 dual MDD G4 there next to my G5 is the scanning/temps Mac. Just to the left and under the desk are another couple of G4 733 QSs as RIP and server/backup etc. Those 3 machines are hooked up through a KVM switch so we don't have the place cluttered with monitors & keyboards...

It's a nice network especially with the gigabit switch...

I got my Powerbook 17 in November '04 and have never looked back. The Sony monitor has been sold with my PC so I will have to shoot some more pictures. I am waiting for Rev B of the iMac and it is off to the Apple Store and One Click for Mac #2!

Hope the picture posts?
