Youtube 4K not available on tvOS 14

It’s all likely A/B testing. My TV doesn’t have it. My iPhone 11 Pro Max logged into my YT account has 4K for HDR content. My iPad Pro 12.9 2020 has 4K for all content, SDR and HDR, but only if logged OUT of YT.

Nice find, went into incognito mode in the YouTube app on my xs max. Every video I played was running at 2160p😊

most likely a bug that YouTube needs to iron out.

Yeah we have two iPad Pro 11s here. One is also doing 4K logged out and the other doesn’t at all.

All videos were showing 2160p last night, now their back to 1080p. 🤔

I’m able to play certain 4k videos on my iPhone SE 2nd gen.
Not all of them though, some still top out a 1080. I assume it has something to do with a codec, not sure. This was one one of the first things I noticed when I moved from my HTC 10. I had no 4k support on iOS til 14.

I haven’t installed tvOS 14, I don’t use youtube on my TV enough to care.

maybe speed lock because of corona virus as my test wtf my apple tv 4k get 720p?
