How so? Google has no in app purchases on any ios device and they get nothing from maps, gmail and Google music in advertising.

The only google app that makes google money is youtube on ios and android has 85% world market share right now.

Its the other way around.google has the upper hand and could make ios horrible without native youtube and maps alone.

I think alot of ios users would be pissed if
maps
youtube
music
were taken out the market

Also what arrangement do they have? They are giving apple services for free and can't even use there services to there full potential with in app purchases

In 2012 at least, Google was reported to be earning more from iOS than Android. Which suggests that for all its larger market share, Google is still having problems monetising its services on Android, and that iOS remains a very lucrative market base despite its smaller market share.

Google could certainly remove their services from iOS, but that would simply be cutting the nose to spite the face, because at the end of the day, Google simply suffers from significantly lower revenue.

I myself am using Apple Maps exclusively. I don't use Google Music, and if youtube were removed from my iOS devices, I might be annoyed, but certainly not annoyed enough to switch from Apple devices.

Nothing is free in this world. You know how Google's services work. People using them effectively have their data collected so Google can work out how to better serve ads to them. Google is certainly not as generous or as altruistic as you are making them out to be.

Yeah and everybodys a teenage hacker changing their browsers.

Im willing to bet less than 1% android devices are customized by users, others stay as they are while not being used very much.

What are you talking about.android browsers use webkit open source broswer engine made by apple and most times get flaged as ios devices on android devices.

Maybe google webkit and educate yourself before posting

I think Google should grow some balls and tell apple if you want my services maps, gmail.youtube and music you need to let users use them the way they were ment to be used or we will not license them to you anymore.

If google pulled youtube from ios apple would change it ways in a heart beat.

I will give credit to apple they are almost there though

Oh my, if Google treated Apple the way it handles Windows Phones (block Google services), all hell would break loose. Blocking youtube alone would be game over for iPhones

I will have some of what you are smoking, if you don't mind. :)

I don't think google services were ever blocked on Windows phones. Google just didn't bother creating native apps for them, but if you want, you can easily access gmail via the browser.

Likewise, Google broke the Youtube app for Windows phones because Microsoft used a hacked API. It was Microsoft's fault here.

But yeah, continue dreaming your pipe dream that Google is somehow "winning" the mobile wars here.

You're correct. Chrome reports its user agent as AppleWebKit so stats showing higher Apple browsing usage are flawed since we all know browsing on tiny screens prior to iPhone 6+and 6 are too painful and world marketshare of Apple devices only account for about 12%.
