After the iOS update this week, my YouTube is not working at all. I deleted the app and reinstalled. Still nothing this is what I get. Any suggestions?

That's an odd one, there hasn't been much traffic with this issue after iOS 26.6.1.

First thing. Pause any VPN or Ad blockers to rule those out. After properly deleting the YT App restart the phone but I'm sure you've tried all of this already. I'm also assuming that you haven't run out of storage space.

I did pause the VPN and I could play a video. But then back to the same retry arrow. If I hit the retry arrow multiple times it will play. And this is the same on my iPad that hasn’t been updated to the new iOS. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and rebooted both the iPhone and iPad. How do I pause the ad blockers?

So if the paused VPN became active again at time of YT not working again, that's a pretty strong case that this is the issue. Does the iPad also run through a VPN?

I don't know what Ad blocker you might have installed and if you're using Safari. In iOS you can switch Ad Block extensions off or on:

Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions > Off or On

Open it in Safari instead.
It works fine in Safari but would like the app itself to work. I can get it to work by hitting the “something’s wrong arrow” several times but I’d like it to work as it did and should. Just weird that it stopped working on both iPhone and iPad this week. Both have plenty of storage. iPhone was updated to 26.1 but the iPad wasn’t.
