Youtube Stutter On New Macbook Air

My MBA revB stutters on youtube hd but it fine playing HD video from apple trailers which is higher quality than youtube.

Same here with a Rev. C. It's annoying because 720p mkvs play fine and so do trailers from Apple's website!

Click2Flash is your friend

If you're watching youtube then you'd be well served by installing Click2Flash from here: http://rentzsch.github.com/clicktoflash/

You can set it to show HD Quicktime content (H.264) rather than the standard flash and it takes far less CPU meaning no stuttering.

That would work but isn't it experimental?

Click2flash has the added benefit of turning of flash crap all over which IMHO is a huge advantage.

I thought HTML5 doesn't allow full-screen viewing? Or HD viewing or something? I'm not sure which it was. Am I wrong on both counts?

Good information in these last few replies, but did anyone notice this thread had been idle for 13 months before today's replies here?

People should definitely know about Click 2 Flash. I definitely agree that HTML5 and running Quicktime will improve the MBA's performance by not hitting the CPU so hard with Flash. It is just too damn bad that Apple will not allow Adobe the APIs to make Flash as great on the Mac as it is on Windows!

Didn't work for me in Safari in fullscreen though HTML5 got rid of the stuttering. Click2Flash is good but still getting a bit of stuttering,

Just install the newest 10.1 beta version of Flash. Runs video much better, no more overheating or stuttering.

Installed that a while ago. It's no biggie, I hardly watch YouTube, I was just surprised by the stuttering. All other HD content is just fine. I am liking browsing with Click To Flash though which I had been reluctant to install for a while,
