Road and Track + Car and Driver ------ Both same publisher.

I called and was able to Transfer both to Zinio - (Phone number for R&T - same number for Car and Driver -850-682-7654)

Also you can call Zinio and they will provide you with phone numbers for your magazines.

I used Zinio back in the Tablet PC days and thought it was a good idea but the slate tablets at the time were a bit too heavy to hold like a magazine. Look forward to trying these out.

Did you get Road & Track for $5? But then you said something about transferring . . . . did you get anything for $5?

My offer came in an email after I registered. However, its now seis de Mayo so the offer is no longer valid.

Also, my email arrived about 45 minutes AFTER I purchased Car & Driver for $8. Didn't feel like arguing for the $3.

hmm, PC mag and Maxim are still $5 bucks though.

I bought Car & Driver for $5 tonight. Now I have 2 versions of the May issue - the "iPad interactive" version, which has additional features, and the first issue of my subscription which doesn't have the interactive features and won't load the thumbnails past page 37.

a$6.50 for 4 issues, total bargain these babies cost over a$15 an issue due to importing costs.

Love Zinio.

Dont forget you can also just view the txt from the page, if the quality is bothering you this is a good option, just to get straight into the articles

Is it possible to delete magazines in Zinio???

You can remove what you have downloaded, but the magazine will still show in your library. If I have any complaint with Zinio it's that you cannot exclude magazines from view.

OP: Thanks for sharing the deal! Zinio, Spin & Maxim: Thanks for offering the deal.

For me this will be a good opportunity to see if I can transition from reading paper magazines to digital. Or at least transition from reading MR forums to reading digital mags! I am afraid that I will just forget about them and fall into my old habits of reading junk (and non-junk) online. Kind of how I ignnore all of the great epub books I have now.

So I tried to get my maxim subscription changed over to a digital version and got this response from their customer service. I think this is pretty stupid on their part. Apparently they don't want to save the money associated with printing and mailing magazines to my house:

Dear Mr. XXXXX,

Maxim is now offering a print and digital option. We are sorry that there is no digital only option available at this point of time.

Your existing order does not include the digital version. Please contact zinio.com/help for technical assistance.

Thank you for subscribing to Maxim.

That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. You might want to call them and see what they say, because you can't tell me any company on the planet would be that dumb.

For what it's worth . . . I called Zinio yesterday and they deleted the magazines I wanted from my library. The rep also said that removing magazines is a feature that will be coming soonn

The original iPad interactive version is the one that comes with Zinio for free.

Still no thumbnails past page 37 for my subscription issue. Weird.

Ah too bad I'm just now seeing this. I would have picked up a couple for subscriptions for $5. Did they improve the quality? It seems like it looks a lot better than the last time I looked at magazines on it.

Does anyone know if the iPad version runs on Adobe Air? I know the Mac version does, maybe it's one of the reasons people are complaining about font qualty etc..

This is more like it. Here is the response I got from Playboy asking about transferring my subscription to digital:

Thank you for contacting Playboy.

We would be happy to transfer your magazine subscription to the digital form. If you wish to transfer, please let us know.

The digital form is available via the Zinio application.

Thank you,
Playboy
