I went to Zurske's sight and no where does it say about a coating to protect the watch and band. It says it has a coating to protect the aluminum body of the stand from scratching, not the watch.

Are you saying they added the coating specifically to YOUR stand, or to all of them as part of a change in the manufacturing process?

They added the coating to all of them, but only the silver color. They are still finalizing the protective coating for the dark grey color. I spoke with Ty at Zurske, who was fantastic through the whole process in communication.

They haven't updated the site it looks like, but I personally have many emails with the representative from Zurske assuring me that they made this drastic improvement to the stand.

dfine1966,
We appreciate your feedback. Due to the response we've received from this site and other sources we have definitively made the change to apply a non-scratch coating to all of our WAVE models.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Cheers
