Hey guys, I have a MacBook Pro mid 2012 and its battery is not that good as it was before. And sometimes I use it a lot while the charger is plugged and green. Doing that can cause any damage to the hardware or even the battery itself? Thanks!
hey there. I need urgent help. So ive had my macbook pro for almost a year now and since then ive never encountered a problem like this. So this morning my mac was working well, charging as normal until i went home tonight, and while i was working i hadnt noticed it dropped at 10 percent, which...
Anyone else have experience / measurements as to whether Win10 is more efficient as a VM under Fusion compared to Win7?
On the one hand - Win10 probably has more going on in the background - on the otherhand I would guess that is has been designed with the idea of a mobile world...
Hi,
since I have the iPad Pro (1.5 year) the data of "Time Since Last Full Charge" is always empty.
Should be this somewhere activated? I made hundreds of full charges.... The same on iPhone 7.
Hello MacRumors, you beautiful bunch of clever minds. My early 2011 MBpro died suddenly last night, now it turns on (blue light on the right hand side of the keyboard comes on) but the screen remains blank and doesn't get to the boot noise or boot. I am hoping to be able to pick the...
Have an iMac at home, but my personal laptop for at-work stuff is a Dell XPS 15. Am considering replacing it with a 2018 MBP. My question is about whether there’s a Mac app for automatically managing the battery’s health. Dell has an app called Dell Command Power Manager which, among other...
Hello! I've thought about switching to a new phone for a while firstly because my battery is completely dead and can barely hold a charge secondly because i can't go replace it at an apple store due to me already having a third party battery in it and thirdly because getting a reliable iphone 6...
Hello,
to make my MBP 2011 turn on I have to :
- disconnect the battery
- plug the power
- push the power on button
- let the mac start (it is SLOW without the battery)
- shut off the mac
- connect the battery
- push the power on button
and then Mac boots at normal speed.
BUT my problem is...
hi all
I remember Apple releasing a battery case for the iPhone 6 back in the day, the one with the hump and I hear you can use this case on the 6S and the 7 but was wondering if there would be any limitations I’m not aware of in using the case for the iPhone 8?
I know the case wouldn’t work...
My MacBook Pro 17" mid-2009 monitor remains black. I've already tried all the possible resets I found on web discussions (SMC, PRAM, hold power, ...). Now I'm using it with a VGA monitor through mini-display port.
I've launched the Apple Test Hardware, which for models before 2013 has to be...
My Series 2 (currently watchOS 4.3) watch battery used to last 36+ hours. But for about 3-4 months it barely lasts 24 hours. I only have Sleep Watch and Carrot Weather apps. I had Sleep Watch since the beginning. So I removed the Carrot Weather complication to find out if it was the reason. But...
I'm looking for a portable battery that also charges wirelessly. In other words, I should be able to put my phone on it and it should charge even if I just leave them unconnected to anything.
I know they exist, but are there any good ones? Do they charge the watch as well as the phone?
Hi.
I just got this battery installed from a tech shop in my city:
NewerTech NuPower 78 Watt-Hour Battery for MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid-2009 & Mid-2010., with a new 256MB SSD hard drive.
I am concerned that the battery isn't living up to its "potential" as I am only getting maybe 4-1/2...
Hi everyone,
is it just me, or is the new iOS 12 battery screen lacking information that were there until iOS 11?
Specifically, until now it was possible to see how many hours the iPhone was actually used and in standby since it was last charged. The new battery screen only shows usage (screen...
Hello everyone, I'm kinda new on the forum.
I have early 2011 15" MacbookPro and still works very well for basic use. I've already replaced its HDD and removed the optical drive, upgraded its RAM capacity over the years.
I can still use my macbook but want to make it lighter than now. Is there...
Hey everyone,
New to these forums but wanted to put up here an issue I've been having with my brand new iPhone 8 Plus. Since I updated to iOS 11.4 (I was on 11.3.1 when I bought my phone), my battery has been going down much faster than it did before the update. It goes down quite quickly as...
Hi there,
I have a macbook pro early 2015 13" retina. After 325 battery cycle the battery completely down. I mean I can't use without a charger. Happened just after I woke up. The "funny" thing is the warranty has expired 4 months ago, I bought this mac as a new one at last year february...
Now I thought I’ve heard that putting your phone up for a long time (like 2 years) can insta kill the battery if left on. Is this true? I’m buying an iPhone 6 off someone and they said that they never turned it off and it’s put up for quite some time. How bad will the damage be?
My battery is at 300 cycles and it has just over 80% of it's original capacity if I check with several tools. I travel a lot and this does make a difference for me. I expect to keep the machine for at least another year. Can I get the battery replaced at a reduced cost ahead of the end of my...
It is now the middle of 2018 - three years after the manufacture date of my mid-2015 MBP. 'Coincidently' the MBP has suddenly begun to decrease in speed and power in the recent weeks. It's also funny that Apple provides a three year AppleCare plan. I wouldn't put it past Apple to apply the same...
