Good afternoon, as of late or since iOS 11.3 to be exact I have noticed my phones becoming warm when using almost any apps, not hot just warm. Apps I notice it most with are, Snapchat, Tinder, POF, Meetme... (Sorry single) and others such as safari.
Does anyone else have this? Is it normal?
1.) Does better CPU in macbook (quad-core vs dual-core i5) will alow macbook to generate less heat?
2.) Does more RAM (16GB vs 8GB) allow macbook to generate less heat i.e. be cooler?
3.) Does dedicated graphic card in 15" version macbook pro, allow macbook to stay cooler while watching youtube...

Some 2018 Macbook Pro owners have reported that their machines' fans are audible and run hot even when under low loads (e.g. just watching a Youtube video).
At least one owner, @drdaz, has said that his 2018 Macbook Pro is running "much cooler...with less fan activity" after the most recent...
I was just checking, intel power gadget and macs fan control and I'm not so sure about the temperatures.
Normally when running my CPU is around 66degrees, as soon as I run the yes command (100% CPU) the temperature shoots up to 99 degrees, within the matter of a second - that's not the issue...
After 10-15 minutes of use I notice the phone can start to feel a bit warm not hot. Just a bit warm, have to take the case off to feel it.
Is this normal? Anyone else have this?
Can anyone try facebook or other apps for 15 minutes and see if there phone gets warm under the camera?
Title says it all really.
I'm in the market for a 15" MBP, and trying to choose between specs. Definitely want 32GB RAM, but unsure on which processor to pick. 85% of the computers work load will be basic stuff... emails, browsing, light audio editing, Football Manager :), but the rest of the...
My iPhone X has been getting warmer when browsing facebook just wondering if it is normal? I checked the temp with a thermometer and it was at 90 degrees Fahrenheit in a 72 degree room just scrolling and reading after 20 minutes of straight use.
Is this temp normal?
Hi, i have a 13 inch 2012 MB, the fan is broken and in my city there isn't any shop where I can fixt it.
I only use it for things like word, for taking notes or powerpoint and web browsing.
The temperatures of the Mac are around 65º to 75º celsius. In web browsing about 60º.
I am wondering if I...
My iPhone's can get a bit warm when using day to day tasks Specifically under the camera, such as mildly intensive browsing to imore, macrumors, and reddit. Using Appolo can also warm it up. Facebook app can also make it feel a bit warm, and even making phone calls can warm it up.

I have a strange issue with my Late 2013 15" rMBP (i7 4960HQ - quad core base 2.6Ghz turbo 3.8Ghz):
Sometimes, under multicore load, my machine will slow down to a crawl.
According to iStatMenus, it is sometimes throttling the core frequency down from around 2.6Ghz to only 800Mhz when under...
Was just wondering if its normal for a phone to warm up during a phone call, during a call today that was 6 minutes roughly 7 minutes I noticed my phone was warmer, roughly 90 degrees according to thermometer. Also warms up using safari and facebook to about that same temp after 10 minutes of...
When I put my iPhone against my skin specifically he top right corner it feels warm. I borrowed a thermometer from a friend and t was reading 88-91 when using reddit, safari, and outlook for about 20-30 minutes.
I’ve read some people say it’s normal and others not so I was hoping some people...
I don't know if it's just me but whenever I use Snapchat (mainly since the 11.2.2) upgrade on my iPhone 7 my phone seems to get warm (not hot) relatively quickly. The battery also drains pretty fast too when I'm using Snapchat but it doesn't do that with any other apps. I've tried...
With TurboBoost disabled (using TurboBoost Switcher utility), how do the mid-2017 13 inch macbook pro i7, touchbar (14,2) and function keys (14,1) models, compare in terms of fan noise, temperature, and battery life?
Background:
I am developer and I want to get the best performant, most...
Hi all
I have a friend who has a 2011 MacBook Pro 15" who complained it has some heating issues and asked me to look at it, I have tried looking at some things like the charger and opening the Mac up see if it's maybe dusty in there but none of those things were an issue.
Since my knowledge of...
Hey folks,
I had some issues with High Sierra not waking up from sleep properly after the upgrade from Sierra. While troubleshooting this, I noticed that when the machine was awoken from sleep by lifting the lid, it would be warmed up.
After a clean install of High Sierra, the "wake to a black...
Has anyone with a 2017 MBP (nTB 13") put in enough mileage to determine how loud/annoying the fan noise is?
There's a lot of chatter on the interwebs on the subject, and I'm still torn between a nTB 13" and a 12" rMB mostly because of the fanless, quiet design despite performance/port...
