Hi.
Is there an easy terminal command to place applications in the users login items specifically for 10.10/10.11
I did have a post on this yesterday but it was mis-understood, all I need to know ia if there is an easy terminal command to place apps in the login items.
I'm not great with...
I had a weird issue with the app store and it was recommended I rename something in /var/private/folders (the zz directory) and move it to the trash.
I did that, but now I can't delete it.
It's not 'owned' by me, and nothing I do will let me get rid of it. I've got tons of linux experience...

I own a late 2011 macbook pro that I've installed 8gb RAM, a 1TB hybrid drive, and a 250 disk drive (in the optical bay). I also have a BOOTCAMP partition on the hybrid drive that I use for engineering software and finite elemental analysis for work.

Hey everyone
I never use the Terminal on my Macbook Pro Retina. However, today I opened it and noticed it said the Last Login to the terminal was on June 23rd. I find this odd since I hadn't logged into the Terminal in a very long time. How is it possible it said my last login was on June...

Hello!,
So I renamed my a third FAT partition, on my internal SSD drive from "Untitled" to something more professional (because I have clients that work over my shoulder). The partition was intended to be used for bootcamp. I ended up temporarily having to put some files on it. After renaming...
I really like the new ability to set two full screen apps in the OS X El Capitan.
But I still have a complain.
I don't like the "esc to escape full screen mode" function.
As I work with Excel I press esc really often, and many times I hit the key twice in a row leaving the full screen mode. This...
Hi All

Hello,
I'm not that familiar with using the Terminal, but every now and then I mess around with the command-line to make some adjustments to the computer. A few months ago, I began noticing typing some commands (like 'sudo') into the Terminal stopped working. Now, whenever I open Terminal, a...
Hi, I recently updated my 2010 27" iMac to El Capitan from Mountain Lion (I skipped Yosemite, I kept meaning to get the update, but never got around to it). After I applied the update, it was time to update applications that I had not been able to get the newest version of. So I go to the App...
