I wanted a 11 inch initially because I didnt see the key note. after I watched the key note and saw the reduced 12.9 inch size I think I will go with that.

Ahhhhh it‘s such a though call really. Want to see some videos where they hold them side by side. So far I‘ve only seen videos of the 12.9“, which - I have to give it to apple, really looks GORGEOUS.

My 10.5“ screen already is beginning to feel cramped since this morning :D Even though I generally LOVE this device, really. Also have a really nice bag from this is ground that‘s gonna fit the 11“ perfectly and was expensive enough..

There has been zero report on how multitasking is gonna behave on the new 11“, right? Guess it’ll still be the same iPhone app versions..?

Hopefully those that have preordered the 12.9” early while you decide will cancel and go with the 11” instead so that the 12.9” delivery date for mine will move up ;)

Haha, well I have placed a preorder for the 11“, because i think in the end I‘ll prefer the portability over the bigger screen once more. I really love how unobtrusive the 10.5“ footprint is when you bring it to a café or just when I‘m holding it with one hand. I‘m a director so often use it as my primary screenplay while I‘m working with actors and I‘m running around the set and cant carry a tank, so..

I preordered the 12.9 but just cancelled. I couldn’t justify spending $1500+ on something that I don’t really need. The 10.5 is great and maybe I’ll consider picking up the 11 or 12.9 in the future but for now I think I’m satisfied.

I'd love the 12.9, but it's still a bit big and heavy for my uses. I move around the office constantly with my 10.5 so I need that mobility.

I'm giving serious thought to going for a new 12.9, but I think I'll wait till next Wednesday and try them in store first and see if the bulk they've cut is enough for me. Also, there's the money — a 12.9" 256GB + Pencil 2 is a whole chunk of change, especially when my 10.5" + Pencil 1 combo is still awesome.

I'm definitely going 12.9" to replace my 10.5" Pro. Since I started drawing again I can't wait to have the extra real estate.

Looking at the strides with which Apple is iterating the cpu, neural engine, displays , plus the 4gb/6gb ram divide, I am going for the 11” and looking to the next upgrade in 2 years time. Otherwise i’d Have given strong consideration to the 12.9 after its dimension and weight reduction.

I'm going from 10.5" to 11". I had no problem being productive on the 10.5" and I use my iPads to read a lot, so I'm sure the 11" will just be an improvement on screen real estate without giving up portability.

There have always been people that claim only the 12.9" model can truly be considered a PC replacement. I disagree. My 9.7" iPad 2 replaced my Windows laptop back in 2011 and I haven't looked back.

Are the new models in store yet? I’d love to order one today but would like to try out the size before deciding.

Not yet, should be there on launch day, Nov 7.

I'm almost convinced I'll go to the 12.9" this time around (coming form the 10.5") but I do think it's necessary to try them in hand before pulling the trigger. That's why I didn't pre-order. Hoping I can walk into a store at launch (or close to it) and buy one.
