are you running now 10.9??
if yes how can i install it? or i need to be a developer?

I noticed that the power button on my MacBook Air no longer displays the menu when it's simply pressed down... instead it puts the computer to sleep. I have to hold it for a few seconds to get the menu.

The new 2D dock is really nice looking - much nicer than the 3D one from Mountain Lion, in my opinion.

Anyone know how to enable the 2D dock in Mavericks? The usual terminal command does not work (so I guess the way the Dock is drawn has changed?)

Wait a second. The 3d dock is still there? So Apple just replaced the old 2d one?

Is there any way to install it from 0? not updating from ML? I can't create a booteable pendrive

No 2D Dock on bottom, but yes on the sides. I looked through the plist and attempted running strings on it but didn't come up with anything.

Anyone want to do me a solid?
Want to try and copy Calendar.app, Maps.app, and Contacts.app to a 10.8.X machine and see if they work???

Would do it myself but I am far too lazy to install 10.9 on one of my machines ATM.

I get this same error with all 3 apps....

"Smooth Scrolling"

So yesterday Federighi made a bit of a deal about smooth scrolling in Safari, Mail (thank god, finally), and so forth on the Retina MacBook Pro he was using for the demonstration.

So... someone with 10.9 and a rMBP... is scrolling in iTunes now smooth?

I always use iTunes in fullscreen, and I have around 1000 albums. Scrolling is a laggy, stuttery, horrible experience. Has 10.9 improved this any?
