Palm rejection. The 10.5” has tiny bezels on the side but they aren’t affected if I hold it by the side.So wouldn't a bezel-less iPad be a pain to use, i.e., your palm will be in the way when holding it?
Tbh, I'm not seeing much of a difference between 10.5 and 11" but at the very least the current iPad has a bezel and your palm doesn't cover the screen
Palm rejection doesn't help when your palm is covering the screen. Its only useful to reject extraneaous inputs.Palm rejection. The 10.5” has tiny bezels on the side but they aren’t affected if I hold it by the side.
People should stop with this bezel less craziness. I actually think Apples bezels are nice design features and I hope Apple keeps them in future products.
Nope. Bezels can die a fiery death as far as I’m concerned. Edge-to-edge display. I don’t even care if there’s a wedge.
Having said that, I still think the 10.5 and 12.9 will remain and the iPad X will be a unique device rather than the standard (at least at first).
I’m pretty sure that they know that.
A wedge, or a notch?![]()
Heh, and 9.7pro users felt sour for 10.5 trumping it. Now 11” trumping 10.5
No size is safe!
X will get trumped by a Xplus this year
The 12.9 will get some bezel trim, maybe gen2 users will feel bummed by that too. I’m really happy with my 2017 12.9” tho and my 9.7 pro too
It happens
Very true. You would think so, but there are plenty of people on these boards that treat rumors as if Tim himself was announcing it.

Wedge, notch, tab... whatever you want to call it.
Did you actually ever buy an iPad after the dozens and dozens of hours you’ve spent on here? You’ve been obsessively making threads in this forum for literally years and somehow people keep humoring you.
is anybody here who is in absolute shock ! And mourning about the news that the 10.5" iPad Pro is now going to be made bigger to 11" I mean cmon Apple you are going on increasing the size of the most ideal size tablet from 9.7" it went to 10.5" and now to 11" why do you not think portability does matter a lot to a lof people, which was also the concept and idea behind a on the go device like the iPad ! I don't know if Steve Jobs would have been alive how much would he have been in favor of this ! I mean having an extra screen estate is welcomed but not at the cost of portability and compactness. Having 11" iPad will be so dangerously close and cannibalizing the concept of 12.9" iPad Pro. I mean on why on earth would someone want to have a 11" tablet if he wants to go that big I think he would be nudging extremely close to having a MacBook Air or a 13" MBP ! He might aswell have that ! I don't get it ! 11" iPad Pro is just an overkill ! Not required in all honesty !!

Is this concrete?
Literally had a 10.5 in the cart about to hit order and came on here.
Any word if there will be a back cover ?
I think it’s fine as long as Apple releases an updated 12.9”
.5” increase isn’t a big deal IMO.
K.
Ok, that makes more sense now.
[doublepost=1521097510][/doublepost]I just sold my 12.9 screen, Smart Keyboard online because it was too big. I wanted to try and replace my old MacBook but it just was TOO BIG. Got the 10.5 and LOVE IT. Right size and I can put in my purse or just carry around the house. Not sure I like the "No bezel” but will have to see it, and considering the 10.5 I'm writing on now isn't even a week old, I can wait a few years.
And both those reports said new iPads would be released in June at WWDC, so....
