I went with the upgraded 11" 4 gigs of Ram and 128 SSD

I have a 13" MBP I use for reports and cpu intense applications. I use the air for notes in class, travel, and a computer to take around the house with me. Meets all my needs fully.

Went for the 11" its just so much more portable, so portable i am glad i sold my iPad to make the switch

13" Higher res display, larger KB, more battery. I already have iPad 2, no reason for me to get 11".

Currently have a 2010 13" MBA but am heading to the Apple store tonight to re-examine the 11" models.

what will u do with the 13 mba if you get an 11 mba?

I was going to either give it to my wife when her '06 MacBook's screen dies or trade it in but I think I'm going to stick with my current MBA. I was even at the Apple store earlier tonight checking it out.

which did you buy/which will you buy...

I bought the 11. I wanted the lightest, most portable laptop I could get my hands on. I figured if I was going to use it as a supplemental machine, I might as well go with the 11 over the 13. Plus, I found I just enjoyed the "feel" of it over the 13 when I played with it in person.

I have a tablet & a 13 inch Toshiba laptop, I liked the 13 inch form factor of the Toshiba but wanted something lighter. The 13.3 inch Air fit my needs perfectly.

Went with 13", its still small enough and light enough to be portable, but has a better resolution and more space, so it was a no brainer for me.

11 inch now.

Originally got the 1.8 13". When I found out you can get the same specs in the 11", got it and gave the 13" to the wife.

For a long time I was planning to buy an 11", but now I've bought an iPad so that takes care of the portability factor which was my main criteria for the 11". I'm now going to buy a 13" which is big enough to be more of a working computer for me when I'm on the go/ travelling with work, but yet light enough to be quite portable. My main laptop at home is too heavy to be dragged around much, and my husband has also partially just taken it over so we need an additional work laptop at home, too.

I haven't decided yet whether I want the 128 or the full upgrade...

13" I am now on my 2nd Air. Thought long about the 11 but it was a simple decision once I tried typing on the 11 vs the 13. I have pretty large hands and I felt uncomfortable typing on the smaller machine even during a relatively short store test drive.

I've got the low end 2011 11" and love it. I didn't need the memory or the storage space of the higher end models as I only use it for web browsing and light gaming so it's perfect for me. Plus I thought it was cute.

About three days ago I decided the only way to get the 11in obsession out of my mind is to try it and decide the 13in was better.

Well, after three days of playing with the 11in air, the 13in is now gone and the 11in will be staying.

The 11in macbook air gave me a couple of fears, that ended up not being true after use.

One fear was the screen size difference. I'm surprised, but the smaller screen and lower resolution didn't feel like much of a step down for me. I actually feel it's easier to read text, and love watching native 16x9 video streams on the 11in much better. I should also note, that my 13in air had the LG panel, while the 11in has the sammy panel. I didn't think I'd notice a difference, but I do. The colors on the LG were horrific in my opinion.

My other fear was the trackpad difference. It took me two seconds to get used to the slightly smaller trackpad. Although the clicking mechanism is much stiffer feeling to me and makes more noise than the 13in did. But it's not a big deal.

The 11in just feels right to me.

Ah tough one, I had the base 11 and it was very good, but screen size was too small for me, am over 50,so the 13" for me, sd slot was nice and more this and that, and more money too.

A previous poster pointed out if you have one, you will kind of always wonder about the other, boy thats the truth. Apple has a lot of potential overlaps.

The 11 is like a super ipad2, I call it a Macpad

The 13" air is very nice and ideal for a lot, but wait there is the 13" Pro,15"pro and a 17". It can get one going in circles.

And an ipad3 is in the near ?, maybe a 15" Air ? holy cow:eek:

And I am all new to this, yikes.

I got the 13" Air. I use my ipad as my mobile computer, so I didn't need the 11" for that reason. I think the longer battery life and the bigger screen of the 13" were my main reasons for getting it. The 13" is still extremely portable because it's so thin and light.

Of course, now that I've been pulled into OS X (the MBA 13 was my first Mac laptop), I've decided I need something bigger and more powerful. So I'm selling my MBA and getting a MBP 15 HR/AG :D

I think the 13", especially the base model is the best out of the MBA's. 2nd-to-best CPU, max 4GB RAM and if you don't need the storage space, 128GB should be enough. B&H has a special on it for $1234.95, no tax free UPS Ground shipping and I'll opt to get Parallels 7 for free (then sell it since I already have it). Could end up under $1200 for a great machine, unbelievable! I just hope it's Samsung Screen and Samsung SSD.

I love my 11" MacBook Air. It is perfect for everything I need. I got the upgraded version (4GB RAM, 128GB SSD) and I have no complaints. It's so light and portable, it's the epitome of a portable notebook. I toyed with both sizes multiple times at the store and eventually decided to go with the 11. For me, the 13" just seemed to take a little bit way from the portability, but then again, that might just be me. The processor and SSD handle everything very well for me on the 11", battery life is perfect, and whenever I need to do video editing/gaming, I just hook it up to my external display for more screen real estate.
