Agreed. Add to that that the M2 is a hotter chip already, we are going to see an Air be throttle much quicker than expected.It's still assumptions because we don't have reviews yet. But... all of those factors I mentioned objectively, factually lead to more heat. The only thing Apple could do is improve the engineering on their cooling systems to counteract that, but... the Air is still passively cooled. So unless they engineer magic, which I would love them to, it's going to run hotter than the previous Airs.
Is it going to run HOT? No. Is it going to run hotter than M1 Airs? 99% likely.
