Exactly, when the OP didn't get the answers he wanted he left because it was most likely stolen or he bought a stolen ipad. I've seen plenty of threads like this where people ask on how to by pass the passcode and password.
It's happened to alot of others as well. After updates as well. Since when does it make you enter a passcode? It doesn't.
Seems op didnt get any answers that weren't ********.
Lol.

Are you suggesting that we are assisting a criminal into unlocking an iPad? I highly doubt that is even allowed on this forum, but it seems like wild speculation on second thought.
Well, it looks like the OP has magically disappeared. ;)

Whether they were a criminal or just some kid trying to get into the shiny new iPad Pro owned by their parents, all we know is that they've vanished. The jury is out there though. Maybe they're somewhere else on the internet right now trying to convince a different group of people to help them out.

Enough rambling though...

When I Posted my IPAD problem back in December, I never thought I will be accused of being a criminal and a thief! My problem got resolved by APPLE SUPPORT back in December. After 2 months, I logged in today and saw the responses. It’s sad to see how some of the members of this forum have been jumping into conclusions and have accused someone without considering all the possibilities. Nevertheless, I have reported a complaint with the moderators of MACRUMORS.

Rather unfortunate to be accused of such things but understand that when one comes online to a forum to ask experienced users for help there is an expectation that resolution of the issue will be documented. When one posts just a few times on one day and then disappears, speculation ensues.

Nonetheless, you’re perfectly within your rights to file reports to moderators; given that you rightfully expect some courtesy be extended to all, might you consider extending from your end too by providing feedback on how your issue was truly resolved beyond just saying that Apple resolved it.

Maybe your question and sudden unexplained disappearance caused all this? A little clarification or an update could've prevented all of this, but now you're accusing people of (rightfully so) being suspicious about your very long disappearance without any answers or posts suggesting that you resolved the problem. You've cleared yourself up, which is good, but it was long overdue. Making a thread about how to unlock a password on a brand new $1400 iPad Pro and then suddenly disappearing without any notice is certainly going to cause suspicion. Regardless, myself and everybody else in this thread apologies for any accusations against you. :)

Plus those of us that have been here a while have seen this exact scenario unfold more than a few times. Sorry OP for misjudging you. But also, please update your post with what happened in case the situation happens to someone else.

As a side effect, you won't be judged on a random internet forum. :D

If you have removed it from your iCloud account then put it into DFU mode and restore it via a computer.
  1. Connect the iPad Pro to the computer using a USB cable
  2. Open iTunes on a Windows PC or finder on a Mac
  3. Press the volume Up button and release it on the iPad Pro
  4. Press Volume Down button and release it on the iPad Pro
  5. Now keep the Power pressed button until the iPad Pro screen goes black, it may take about 10-15 seconds
  6. While still holding the Power button, now press and hold both the power button and the volume down button button for another 5 seconds
  7. Release the power button, but keep holding Volume Down button for another 10 seconds
  8. At this point, iTunes/finder should pop up with a warning message saying “detected an iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used”, this indicates that the iPad Pro is successfully in DFU mode
Once that’s done you will need to go through the setup process at which point it connects to your internet and confirms if it is attached to an iCloud account. Once that’s done the setup process will continue.
OK, now all that stuff is just plain excellent. Exactly how to proceed.

The OP being accused of doing something wrong!!! What does the OP expect??!!. He/She creates an account on the same day the thread and post is made. He/She leaves a very less than descript post asking how to remove a password on a new ipad. Regular MR members know this has been a tactic used by criminals who have stolen an ipad/iphone and pretend to be a genuine owner asking for help. Various members try to help the OP but after the day the account, the thread and posts are made, the OP just vanishes. No other posts are made. Then come 2 months later, the OP turns up and has the audacity to complain at they way he/she was treated by other members, full in the knowledge that Apple got the ipad fixed in December and he/she could not be bothered to log back in and make a post saying that Apple had fixed the ipad.

Who ever the OP has complained about, I hope they appeal and win

Calm down dude it’s an Internet forum, it’s not like anyone here can actually arrest you my god ?
Too late. i already tagged the authorities with this thread in a twitter post, an instagram story, AND a facebook post. ! The CIA will be at his house shortly to deal justice. 20 to life and no parole for sure.

It's a classic tactic. OP never actually got it fixed and probably pawned it off again for parts. Remember, on the internet, everyone is a CEO graduated with multiple degrees from multiple ivy leagues with years of experience that is at least double their current age.

I had made a mistake setting up the ipad right from beginning and even though I remember I had set a passcode, the passcode I had did not work. I could not go online because I had to log in first and without my passcode, logging in was not possible. Finally the ipad had to be set up via ITUNE. I had to go through the set up process all over again and then everything was ok.
