I'm sure the refund is reflected in their accounts and that will make them ineligible for the $100. I'm assuming that's what Steve was referring to by "who is not receiving a rebate or any other consideration."

Unless they got something from ATT.

I could care less if someone double dips.

I bought a 4GB Refurb ($399.99) last week. I called Apple Customer Service yesterday. I was issued a credit of $150 without any hassle. Bringing the price of my phone to $249.99. Should show up back on my credit card within 3-5 business days.

Of course I was within the 14 day grace period for pricing. But this shows that it is possible to get a credit from apple.

$150!!! They only gave me $100, and I got the exact same thing, a 4 gig refurb.

Oh yeah I could care less, too - what they get doesn't affect what I get. If someone can get more off then congrats to them. I get the same either way. I'm just saying, I'd bet there are records of whose gotten what, unless they've gone through their CC companies.

How does that work exactly? A friend bought my 8 geg iPhone on the 2nd of September from Pentagon City Apple store using CC, and he has left the states for the time being. Which phone number did you call? and do you need to provide your CC details over the phone or mentioning your receipt details is enough?
