Alright then we are good to go, about a day and a half till Yosemite should be released. Although Peloche sill had an issue with updating on a SSD.
Thanks Hennessie for your test, when i have time i test it with Mavericks.

No matter which boot.efi I try from the post, I can't boot from the Recovery.
Has anyone succeed boot from the Recovery partition or am I the only one failing to do so?

nope, it's not working. no matter what I try, it seems impossible to boot the recovery partition. I spent lots of time trying this and that, but no success... drives me bonkers, not knowing what the cause is.
From what I've seen in Pike's macosxbootloader source code, he's either fixed it already or is working on it.
Yea there is a new commit titled Recovery HD fix. Question is, is it only fixed when doing a fresh install? Or can you update the recovery partition by doing a reinstall?

I would suppose that if you use Terminal and mount the Recovery partition, simply replacing boot.efi (with the proper permissions and flags) should do the trick. Maybe you can verify it. I can't myself (I haven't installed Yosemite on a physical disk yet).
Edit: By the way, I used the substitution method myself with my previosly-created Mavericks Recovery partition and it worked.
unfortunately I'm getting lots of errors during build...

Yes, same here.
Are you able to use the installer that is on the Recovery HD because it is a non patched basesystem.dmg?
No idea. I haven't installed Yosemite yet.
I was referring to Mavericks assuming it is built the same way.
That was nearly one year ago, but I don't recall altering any DMGs on the Recovery partition. All I did, I think, was the procedure I indicated above, i.e., 1) mounting the partition, 2) copying Tiamo's boot.efi on top of Apple's, 3) unmounting the partition, 4) rebooting to the Recovery partition to verify it worked, and, indeed, it did.

latest recovery hd fix...fix
Have you tested whether it works on the Recovery partition? Is it grey or black. In case it fixes the Recovery partition boot, are you planning to update your guide?
Hennesie2000, did you see my message about revising your guide to use the "createinsallmedia" command to replace many steps?

Was it a PM because if so I did not get it.
