Tru-dat! It's very inaccurate!
What's better?
HEY!!!
I just noticed... Where are the heat spreaders on the DIMMs???
No Heat Spreaders???![]()
I'm guessing that the other 4 RAM slots are on the opposite side of the other ginormous processor heatsink/box, making a sort of symmetrical design between the two? It's an interesting departure from the previous design.Below: The CPU/RAM tray has these two cool little flip-out levers that are like miniature versions of the case-side release lever:

Unbuffered DDR3 runs A LOT cooler than FB-DIMM DDR2. No need for them anymore.
OP: Are there two fans in that middle section by the graphics card, or just one? If there's one, why is that frame so thick?
Very nice indeed, now put it back together and turn the bitch on.
Before anyone else asks, "How noisy are the fans"?
Pathetic way to benchmark a 4870.
well i'm not talking about benchmark... but noise.
thank for your input![]()

Very noisy on startup for about 15 seconds before the startup sound, but then very quiet. My Jan08 quad 2.8 was almost inaudible

My Jan08 quad 2.8 was almost inaudible, at idle the new one is slightly noisier but still VERY quiet. Bear in mind I have a hushbox in the same room containing a rather noisy Core i7 overclocked to 3.82 with GeForce 295 and 15K SAS drives so I am not operating in a dead-quiet environment to start with.
I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the noise level.
