Are you both sure this is the case for an unflashed card? I don't want and need to flash it because I can live without the EFI rom and it made my Mac Pro crash at random moments.

If I remember correctly, after flashing one DVI port is just dead. But I think my single monitor works on both DVI ports. I'm just not sure if two monitors will work.

I use four monitors. One dvi, one hdmi, and 2 active mDP to dvi adapters. I flashed using netkas' method. Works great. The upper dvi port doesn't work.

But the big difference is, I didn't flash my card. I've tested both DVI outputs, and both work when I connect my single display to the ports. However, I'm not sure if two DVI displays work at the same time.

Anyway, I will be picking up the two displays soon so I can test it. If it doesn't work, I'll have to buy an adapter I guess.

Here's the pics in my rig:

I can't seem to get the fourth display on my XFX 6870 going.

MP1,1 on 10.7
xfx 6870 1g stock card.

2 monitors on mDP(dvi and vga), 1 on dvi.
Top DVI port does not work as I believe someone here said you need to address the ports manually.

When i hook a monitor to HDMI, the DVI cuts off.
When I try hooking the monitor using a mDP to HDMI, the DVI cuts off.
When I use two mDP adapters and one DVI I can get three monitors connected.
When I use a DVI to VGA on the bottom DVI, and digital for the other three, the DVI cuts off.

Pretty much whatever I do to hook a fourth monitor results in the DVI cutting off.

However, I'd like one more monitor connected. Do you guys reckon there's an easy way to do it? the above member's picture shows more than 3 display inputs recognized and another one shows a total of five. I heard a member indicate that you rebuild a driver to recognize all the inputs. The monitors are standard 22" dell displays, with a 17" VGA display for something else.

I have a few mDP adapters from my MBP (1 vga, 1 HDMI, and 1 DVI) if it helps any.

all of the mdp adapters must be active adapters.

If your resolution is lower than 1600 x 1200, the active adapters you need are like this.
