Theres nothing special in this app, it will only run automatically if you add it to your login items. Otherwise it will only run if you start it manually.
I ran it once from a flash drive on another computer. The flash drive is removed, the computer blinks after restarting, there are no problems with colors immediately after switching on, and the same problem with Logic Pro.
The file was run once from a USB storage device! I didn't add or copy it anywhere!
Check for yourself if there is anything!

Try changing your screen resolution to a smaller resolution and change it back to the normal one in system settings / displays.

it worked. can I fix the problem with this program? I'm tired of constantly putting the computer to sleep after turning it on

it seems to me that this program does not set the correct resolution. Therefore, when you turn on the computer, it flashes the screen changing the resolution, but does not return it back
is there any way to fix this?

After looking as often at ebay international and AliExpress for an
upcoming MXM Cable / Connector with male and female slot I
found some interesting Datasheet (perhaps useful to pin it on
page #1) ?

;)

MXM 3.1 Datasheet - for Developers.
Let’s start a GitHub page or a wiki collecting this. The structure of a forum does not suit the needs of this project any longer. Content got hidden under a pile of posts.

I made a small app that fixes the color-depth issue at startup for some cards, like the 780M with @nikey22's ROM. After startup, start this app, the screen should turn black for a second and the colors/performance should be good to go. Appears to be working fine for me but obviously needs some testing first. Previously i had to put my iMac to sleep at least once or change screen resolution back and forth to fix this problem, now its a bit faster as i set it up in a way that it runs automatically on startup.

Download: https://github.com/passatgt/imac-color-depth-fix

Usage: just simply double click imaccolordepthfix to run. You can add it to your login items(system settings/users/login items), so it runs on a fresh startup automatically.

Ok, so just an update on this app: turns out, you don't even need to add this to your login items. Just run it once and it will remember your settings even after a restart. On login, it will automatically switch to the correct resolution/color depth. It will remember the settings until you change the screen resolution manually under system settings. I'm investigating the issue @theRockstarz mentioned in Logic. Unable to replicate with my Big Sur / 780M setup though, so if someone else have any feedback on this, i would welcome that.

Hello, I'm trying to put my iMac in TDM after plugging a tb3 to tb2 adapter and a tb2 cable to an m1 macbook. After pressing and holding cmd-f2 nothing happends. Any fixes? ( I have a flashed k1100m in my iMac)
Any help pls?

WX4150 (109-C98581-10_02) Installation successful on an iMac 2010 21,5''. I used Dell RX 560 Gop Bios. I have now to swap the two WX4150 graphic cards between 2010 and 2011 21,5'' iMacs to verify behaviour on 2011.
I thought about taking photos this time. The original vbios is attached too :)
I have the same card here waiting for.. anything. The Dell(?) ones posted here in this thread (109-C98581-00D_02) differ, the HP ones (mine and yours) have a p-channel MOSFET (a Fairchild FDMC6679AZ) around pin 1, which also is not combined into one big plate (pin 1-9 and pin 11-17). Pins 1 to 9 might be gound, but not sure about 11+13 and 15+17, both link to a via-connection to the other side.

On the former MXM SIG site you may find the MXM spec docs. Currently it is a riddle why some cards do not post in the 2011 and other in all iMacs and other in no of the iMacs used here...

On the two WX4150 i use, at first boot, using Opencore, with original bios i could only access them in windows10 remotely via teamviewer (blank screen), and with a very basic graphic display (microsoft default drivers), then in windows10 you can flash vbios. MacOS did not boot on both cards with original vbios.
After flashing,
-->Without Opencore, blank screen in Windows10 and MacOS (access via teamviewer)
-->With Opencore, bootscreen, normal boot and display active on Windows10 and MacOS.

Well, obvious differences are the pin layouts and a big MOSFET. I looked up the MXM specs I had around, pin 1-9 should be +5V and 11-17 ground, I wonder why HP split them into individual pins. I checked them, 1-9 and 11-17 are bridged, so it just seems a weird layout difference.
I wonder if the transistor enables the power to the card somehow, its source is connected to the +5V pins.

Sounds promising, never tried this card because of the warnings in post 1. One of my Franken-iMacs-2011 still has a Bootcamp partion with Windows 7, wonder if I should try. Have to look at the heatsinks though, hmm..

You possibly need a 15x15x1 mm^3 copper plate to get the die into contact with the sink. These AMD cards and GPUs are flat compared to the old ATI and Nvidia ones.

Hi guys, what are your methods of installing win10 uefi on a 2011 iMac with a Nvidia graphics card?

Hello everyone! Thank you all for the great work done. You guys do wonders. I installed 780m in my imac 2011 and installed Big Sur. Everything works great.
But there is one problem: I cannot set the screen brightness kekst. Used micro patcher. When disabling SIP via recovery, an error appears at startup. Without disconnecting, nothing is installed, respectively. What do I need to do to get my imac to work? Please help!
