Very happy with the setup and the Twelve South HiRise and Backpack.
Looks great. A lot of nice things there all come together well.

Congratulations, welcome to the party
Unrelated to the quote, there are some really super nice setups here (and some super goofy ones but to each his own!)
I'm always playing ping pong between computer setups, always Apple but I've been up and down the product lines. I think if I were to go non-laptop, it would be the mini.
I notice that I don't see any Apple displays though. Interesting. With the latest iMacs, it begs the question of whether they will update their Thunderbolt display.
I see more practicality of Mac Mini + Nice Display than of iMac due to the simple fact that it's easy to swap computers if you're one of those freaks like me that upgrades once or twice a year
Congrats on the move to a Mac!
Very happy with the setup and the Twelve South HiRise and Backpack.
Looking good. I've been on the lookout for an easy way to mount my mini out of the way on the back of my screen too, but no luck yet.
Finally got around to snapping a picture.
Mini i7 2012 16gb ram, Cinema Display 27".
Photo made with Nikon D90+Nikkor 17-55 2.8 and wireless flash SB-800 behind the screen.
My setup.. I know you can't see the Mini, but it's there believe me
Dope. I gotta grab one of those USB hubs
Those hubs are so awesome! Expensive for a hub, but matches oh so perfect.
Who makes those hubs?

I've been following this thread since it was started. I just don't feel like posting mine. Too private stuff imo.
Best setup so far. I could only make it better by swapping those by thunderbolt displays.
AAHHHHH. Amazing pic. That's cheating though. You could make this setup look nice too.
Love it, seriously. Have you tried hiding the Mini under the table or somewhere else?
Hehe thanks! I have not try that but i have strap all wires under the desk. One option is to hide the mini behind the screen
Looks like it might be a Satechi: http://amzn.com/B007X6XJ98 , but there are a few similar ones on the market
Just to be fair to other makers, here are some similar ones:

FreakinEurekan is correct, Satechi is the maker.
Here's my setup. Only have a 3 bed semi and with 3 young children, space is at a premium. So my mac has to go on a sideboard in the dining room.
2012 i7 2.3ghz Quad Core, 16GB RAM.
Dell u2412m Monitor
Seagate 2 TB USB 3 Hard Drive
WD MyBook 640GB USB 2 Hard Drive (soon to be replaced with another 2TB)
HP Microserver 8GB RAM
ESXI 5 with 4vm's running
2 x 1TB HD's, 2x 640GB HD's
All hidden in a cupboard running headless
Airport extreme behind a picture as I found the signal better once it was out of the cupboard.
I also have 3 Apple TV 3's
2 x iPads
2 x iPods
Here is my new setup..it is time to get some wireless speakers next but these JBLs crank some serious sound. Also, my Canon printer is from my 08 MBP purchase but still gets the job done for my at home needs.
Check it out
I wanted to keep the desk as clean as possible. So I had some scrap 1x6s in the garage so I tossed this together. Not the prettiest, but you don't see the Mini

Excellent thread. A lot of interesting ideas for cable management and lighting.
Here are a few pics from my setup.
The Mini serves as an excellent audio source for an audio rig.
And yes, the headphone amplifier and DAC on the right are actually bigger than the Mini

Do you find your mini runs hotter at the back of the monitor on the backpack?????
