I think it depends on which model one starts with before adding the Ram. Yup. Higher models are 200. Lesser models 300.

Oh good, thanks for that info. We have unfairly high prices in Canada for some things. Good to see that Apple prices are decent here.

Also interesting to see that extra RAM is a better deal on the two upper models.
***EDIT*** hmmm on second look it's not really a better deal, it's the same cost per GB for extra memory on all the 2014 minis, to go to 16GB from the respective base amounts. $300 or $25 per GB for an extra 12GB on the base mini, $200 or $25 per GB for an extra 8GB on the upper two minis.

Apple Canada wants $300 extra to get the base Mini with 16GB RAM. Is it only $200 in USA?

They are not letting me look at the USA prices in the Store.
