Space Gray + White folio is beautiful
Ordered a silver but swapped it for space grey at the store. The silver edges are really obvious when viewing front on (white outline around the screen) whereas space grey blends in better.
Is this a joke?I have the space grey but returning today to get silver as the space grey is the really dark one that almost looks like black and I find that, even at 12.9” I have a hard time finding it at night in darker lighting as it just blends into the background. If it were the lighter space grey of the prior gen, I’d keep it.
Silver! So, which are you going for?
Personally, while I love how the Silver looks a lot like the first-gen iPad, I can't pass up how sleek the Space Grey is, and how nicely it'll match my MBP and iPhone XS.
I bought a Space Grey model.
I checked up a Silver model in the store, but found the thin silver border a little distracting.
Dark borders on screens have a reason, they blend in better with the actual panel and don't distract as much.
[doublepost=1556315919][/doublepost]so which color does unibomber 2.0 prefer?I love it when people justify their aesthetic choices with “reasons”. No, the Space Gray color has no other reason than the fact that some people like how it looks. Same with the Silver one. You prefer the SG and that’s great, but there’s no special reason behind it - only personal taste. One could say that - “bright edges are there for a reason, they frame the image, giving it a clear separation from the environment” - or something like that, which is equally trying to present a personal choice as an objectively practical one.

Not necessarily true. My choice is contingent on the bezel colour and that is because I prefer - functionally speaking - the black bezel to the white one as it helps me when I am reading, which is what I use my iPad for. I am not really concerned about the colour of the body as such. Yes, where my aesthetic preference does come into play is when I choose the ASC (since I use the 10.5” Pro) as of now. That’s where I make my colour/ aesthetic preferences clear and act on them.I love it when people justify their aesthetic choices with “reasons”.
