Because Apple has not bested the 2017 Pixel 2 camera here in 2018, I eliminate the XS/Max from upgrade consideration.

I don’t think they were hiding the notch, after last year everyone knows Apple started the notch. But in 2018, with almost all oems copying the notch, I believe they wants to highlight the lack of a chin on the iPhone vs the competition.

Notch will be going away tho, at least they are trying with that new tech to hide the cameras between the pixels which can’t be seen by the naked eye. Cant wait for that day if it ever comes to light!

I don’t think anyone is close to miniaturizing the lens so it’s as small or smaller than a pixel, at this point, that’s science fiction.

The notch is here to stay for the time being, until Apple can figure out another biometric solution, but Face ID is fantastic so... who knows.

Once android oems figure out a way to copy face ID, they will have to put it somewhere, and that’s usually where the compromises begin.

I'm predicting a "teardrop" style notch for the next iPhone. Just wide enough for the front facing camera, dot projector and infrared camera.

I’d like to see unbreakable glass, 5G and battery tech that lasts a week per charge. Hell, even battery life that lasts 2-3 days like the Apple Watch would be killer.

Lmao when I first got my 7+, I only had to charge it, like, once every 2 days. Keep it mind, I was coming from a 5s, which would be down to 60% of battery after 90 minutes of school where I wasn't even using it the whole time.

Don’t think that’s going to happen that much anymore.
With the prices of iPhone Xs max, it’s getting harder to justify another phone just for the sake of android.

For me it’s more so my Apple Watch than price. $569 for the base storage 6T is relatively cheap by 2018 standards. But knowing that if I put my sim in it for a week I couldn’t use my watch ruins the appeal.

While that is in issue as well. Most people couldn’t stomach the iPhone prices and another android device, I believe apple understood this and gave the Xs and to some degree the xr dual sim capabilities.
