Forbes rumored this earlier today for iPads first, then iPhones. Which I guess could be 2019 if it came to the spring 2019 iPads first.

Anyway, I hope it's true. FaceID is fine, but it's not better than TouchID, just different. Having both, so that we could use whichever one was better in a given circumstance, would be ideal.

2019 iPhone will have under glass Touch ID Return. You read it here first. ;)

Are you going to explain why you would even started this thread? Otherwise, it seems rather non-sensical, considering Cook said Face ID is the future. Is Touch ID under the display a future possibility, maybe. But not anytime soon, and entertaining the idea now is an exhausted topic.

I'd consider the fact that Cook stated he feels Face ID is the future to been a strong reason to see Under Glass Touch ID return. There are numerous hints starting to percolate, and the technology is ready, and in use. I for one have no desire to be bombarded with IR from a Flood Illuminator in Face ID. Your entitled to your opinions as am I. Lets give it 6m. Apple needs to do something to regain iPhone sales, and returning Touch ID would go a long way. Despite all the "It's the future" lingo. :apple:
