Yes! I’ve never seen it pop up with an add to cart side that second time the price dropped. It’s all so odd.
Hey, tekchic—have you still been monitoring the iPad? Very curious if it’s been available at all since the iPP returned. If not, then maybe BB is trolling this page!

Had a virtual chat again with BB about the 11" MKB on backorder. Gave them the order number, and again, they said the 10th. There is nothing on my order that gives an expected date, so this gives me some hope. Perhaps the 10th is when they will have the other Geek Squad inventory in, like the mythical unicorn that is the $449 iPad Pro.

The adventure continues... I got on chat this morning and asked to keep my order, and not have it cancel. She gave me a case number and it's supposed to get escalated to a "back end team"? We'll see -- probably won't hear anything and it will auto-cancel. :D

Thanks for the update—-I’m hoping that at least someone gets these good deals, even if they never open again.

Meanwhile, I’ll admit to doing an occasional screen refresh a few times daily...

My 12.9" Magic Keyboard cancels on June 10th itself. ?
Same date for me. Just had live chat where they said it is being prepped for delivery. I should get a tracking number by the end of the day. I don’t believe any of this, but I took screenshots just in case.

Mine supposedly cancels today -- they are unable to extend the cancel, I asked on the BB forum on Monday and they couldn't find the case number that the BB chat person made me on Sunday... I've pretty much given up. I think I was the last to get a successful checkout, and it looks like it'll be a big "womp womp" in a few hours for both the mkb and iPad. :(

Here’s what I did today to see if there’s any way to extend the cancellation…

The 888 number was useless, so I got on the web chat and they did make a case number for me. I copied it down and saved the transcript. Then, three hours later, I went back into the chat to see if the case number posted. It did, but the original case number was missing the last number! Ugh. Anyways, the case number is specifically for reshipment when it inevitably fails tomorrow and was double-secret-extra assured they can extend it. Do I have high hopes? Nope, but maybe I can channel my inner Karen (sorry to all the real Karens) and ask to speak with the manager. And then their manager, and then the manager's manager.

Here's the funny thing... I don't NEED this keyboard. But the keyboard was going to give me the excuse to upgrade my iPad 5th Gen. BBY needs to know this keyboard is their gateway drug to more purchases on their site.

Wow, good luck! Yeah, I copy/pasted the case number exactly from the BB rep, but when the forum rep went to look it up, they said they couldn't find it. /sigh. They also told me they can't extend it due to the fact that they can only put a "hold" on a credit card for a max of 30 days. I'm expecting mine to cancel at anytime today, since the date said cancels on the 9th.

Good luck going full Karen, I hope it works! :D

I'm pretty frustrated with BB. I mean, I spent a lot of time monitoring and getting through the checkout process. If they didn't have the stock, I don't know why the "Add to cart" even became available multiple times. Meanwhile, we've waited about three weeks and nothing. Even the Apple Store doesn't have 2020 refurbs, either, so maybe it's just completely out of stock everywhere. Guess I'll just be buying a brand new 2022 iPad Pro 12.9" next year and trading in my 2018.

Okay, so I decided to humor (err, torture) myself one more time before it cancels, and got on chat to check the case id. They couldn't find the case ID. It was copy/pasted straight from transcript of last time, but either the representative who created it didn't type it in correctly or was just putting me on.

Here are the notable tidbits from the transcript:
Chat rep's words:
  • I did check and we do not have any other options as the product is currently unavailable. The estimated date on the order is today, there are chances the product might be restocked by today. However, we do not have specific information on it.
  • If the item is restocked, you can expect the shipping confirmation email once the carrier picks up the product.
  • We are expecting the product to be available, please keep checking the status of the order and our website for stock availability.
So... probably in stock tomorrow after all our orders cancel and the price goes back up to $1000 and $300 o_O

Is your case number 8 or 9 numbers?

Looks like 9 numbers. It's so weird that it isn't tied to your account automatically -- just seems like some dangling "case number" but two reps have both said nothing comes up for that number, and it was a straight copy/paste from transcript.
Is your case number 8 or 9 numbers?

I tried my hand at contacting Best Buy customer support not too long ago as well via chat. Both of the agents I spoke to were very honest about the status of the Magic Keyboard and never told me it was in stock and shipping by end of today.

Heres one exact excerpt from the first agent: "I just reviewed your order and the inventory is currently unavailable for this product and we are attempting to secure the item, so we have requested our manufacturer to restock the item back in soon, and this item is currently out of stock at website also."

Heres one from the second agent: "Well, from what I looked into your order, the system is still looking for any available unit in order to get yours ready for shipment."

According to the site... they have open box MKs available that can be used for refurbished orders. But I honestly don’t think they have a desire to do so… since it would cause a huge loss on them.

I just saw this thread; Did anyone get ANY?
I think one person got an iPad. Some got the Magic Keyboards. The rest of us just got the clock run out on us until all our orders auto-cancelled (both iPad and MKB). I'm still monitoring both links and I haven't seen the "Sold out" switch to "Add to cart" in at least three weeks now.

guys I thought I might use this thread instead of opening a new one, today I saw a 2018 12.9 pro 256GB WIFI with smart keyboard for $699 in a local shop, it's not new but supposedly "mint condition" and with 1 year warranty. Do you think it's a good deal?
I tried today the M1 12.9 at the Apple store and I find it too heavy to make a real difference when holding it compared to my 2015 pro. I am also not really interested in the the miniled since I already have the OLED S7+ for HDR etc.. It would be mainly for reading (and sometimes annotating) PDFs and occasional youtube watching. Consider that I am not in the US so I don't have access to Best Buy etc...

Yeah, that's pretty decent assuming it really is in mint condition. Same device is $709 on Apple refurb without the Smart Keyboard.
