Who remembers this guy? iPhone 6 launch. This is probably the closest we have gotten to seeing any type of activity with the pre-order iPhones.

Love these, this is my first pre-order so I'd never thought about this whole process before. Really cool to see the behind-the-scenes.

It’s pretty fascinating! Check out the chaos Apple went through last year and in 2020 with the shipment overseas. COVID played a big role. I believe this was one of the most stressful times Apple had faced economically. Thus, they still lost money and sales were down. This is officially from a legitimate source.

That's incredible! 200 private planes had to have cost a pretty penny. And the logistics involved. They really got it done, any means necessary.

Private jets are costly but Apple looked out for the consumers and made sure it gets delivered on time. Money did not matter. That is one thing Tim Cook is really good at. A pure supply chain logistic mastermind. When he wants it done he gets it done. I read it somewhere, he asked a corporate employee to fly out to China to look into something… an employee replied when and how soon… Tim Cook's response was why are you not in China already?

Nothing for me yet, tried looking up by order number and my phone number on UPS by reference, no go yet.
You are on the 2nd batch of shipments with bunch of us. Don't expect UPS to populate a tracking number soon. It may be later tonight I hope. It’s 2:40 AM in the morning right now. Workers are asleep.

Hello everyone, first post. Nice to be here.

We have some old iPhones so I decided to order a couple of new phones. Based on the info, it seemed like a good idea to pre-configure a phone so it would faster and easier to order that on order launch time. Well, as many know, the initial few minutes of the launch were very buggy. I could not do much because it said to simply wait. I used a browser and my phone - neither would allow me to do much. I could not even load my previously configured devices for the first few minutes. They simply did not appear under the saved iphone for pre-order page. I had to login and logout multiple times to get the pages to load.

But a few minutes later, after multiple tries, the pre-configured phones did appear and I was able to order them. By then, it was probably around 8:08-8:12AM (EST) or so. So I got the estimated ship date of Oct-3-Oct-10 for the phones. So well past the initial launch delivery date. Not sure what happened but I believe the buggy nature of the order process meant that others got in earlier. Oh well, not a huge deal, but still - that pre-order selection didn't seem to help much with the ship date. Anyway, it's still nice to be able to order the phones.

Looking forward to it. Wish you guys the best.
