If we have the free kind of UPS my choice(I don’t remember ever paying for it) is it normal that it wants to charge 6 bucks to change it to pick up at a UPS CC? I know this is the correct CC since I used it in the past with iPhones but I don’t remember ever charged for it. Don’t mind the 6 bucks but just want to make sure this is normal and not delaying this thing.

This is where your iPhone is coming from. This is Foxconn's newer assembly plant. It's coming from a city name called Nanning.

How do I know this? Notice the Zhenxing Road... This assembly plant is located in the East Side of the road as well. This is where our iPhone originated. Freshly of the assembly plant.

I think next year will we see iPhones being made in China and India
I agree. It would be nice if iPhone Pro models come from India. Hopefully, the assembly plant in India catches up.

Yes, I was asked to pay as well. I believe they started charging this fee a year or two ago. Presumably because so many of us were requesting pick up.

I submitted mine and it didn't change my deliver date so as long as it's a CC it should be ok.

Let's go!!! Just checked UPS and both of my iPhones showed up! Woo hoo! Part of the 2nd wave!! Wooooooooo! My 2 brand new babies have been assigned with a serial number.

I am thrilled for you. Congratulations I wonder if all our pallets might end up together now on same flight yet??? This will be interesting sure would love to see more of the logistics

I gotta be honest, I’m a little nervous about my esim situation. I’m on Xfinity mobile and they don’t seem to be very prepared. And my current iPhone only does physical sim so I need to go straight to esim on the 14 pro somehow.

Hopefully I don’t need to visit their store cause I’d rather enjoy the iPhone right after I finally get it and not wait any longer. 😂 We shall see.
Get your ESIM now with your current phone. It will easily transfer to your new device.

I got my UPS tracking first thing this morning. This is my first time ordering the new iPhone through Apple. (I usually order through ATT). But every year I follow this thread for all the excitement with tracking the new iPhones from China to the US. This year I decided to join in the excitement . I’m loving it! Lol

I saw the charge too and didn’t complete the transaction. In the past I’ve only seen the charge associated with stores and it delayed the shipment until next business day. I’ll check again once it lands in the states.

I bet the UK Thread doesn’t get this type of fun facts from their fearless leader!!!

I hope it does but You guys have been waiting for a while now and you may have cleared through the customs so you guys could get on board early on before people from the wave 2 catches up.

Thats strange wish we could see/follow what really goes on from factory and travels to the various points before airport. We get a phone, origin scan, label then eventually it moves to where group one has sat for 24 hours now in scans. So they get label on boxes when do the batch of phones go to pallets so that scanning is now by pallet (which data shows the phones in that so UPS scans have info about ones specific phone). Inquiring minds want to know I am always fascinated to learn about UPS and Apple logistics with the preorder
There's probably some UPS guy perusing this thread, laughing his ass off at all the rampant speculation going on.

i am using my old iPhone X for the week. I assume that I would call AT&T to set up an eSim profile? If I had my 13 still I’d do convert to eSim in the cellular settings but forgot to do that before I sold it.

They scan them by batches while they sort them out. I believe all done electorally once the label make is made the machine sticks it into the package/box and it starts moving.
I wonder then if the sorting of the machines loads a pallet or is that done partially by hand would be interesting at that point to see how pallets are load which I assume are done before they arrive at airport?

LOL! I'm still trying to find out what are they even talking about and how are they hanging. They don't have the data and the facts unfortunately. We are lucky to know the in's and out. It's fascinating!

Might be better to wait otherwise you would have to contact the UPS international shipment department. Or they might say it needs to come to USA. Keep us posted.
So i called and they also said there was a charge for 6.99, to have it held. i am assuming cause it hasnt hit the states yet, so once it does i will call again, i will keep you guys informed.

Woke up to find an origin scan dated 9/11/2022 at 4:52 pm in Zheng Zhou, China. Scheduled delivery is Friday, September 16, by 7 pm (though past practice is deliveries arrive after 7:30 or 8). 1TB Space Black Pro Max.

At least for Premium UPS MyChoice members it's unlimited. But Yes I believe there is a charge for those who just have the basic ups mychoice.

It is done by big cranes. This is located in North Cargo Terminal in ZhengZhou International Airport. You guys are probably hanging out here. Awaiting to get on departing flight.
