One thing I don't miss is the days when we on the East Coast had to either stay up or wake up at 3am to do the preorder. That SUCKED!!!!
That being said, one of the best iPhone launches I ever experienced was when I was in line overnight for the iPhone 4 launch. Hanging out with family and friends all night long. Someone even came around passing out free 3rd party iPhone 4 cases. Haven't experience an iPhone launch like that ever since.

So jealous you are going to NYC. You are going to love it. My advice, get your tickets on places where you want to go ahead of time. You will save lots of time.

If they arrive before noon, then I wouldn’t change to pick up at the CC unless they open at like 8am. Mine changed their hours to a split shift and they don’t open until 10am now.

Like the others have said, it may take some time for it to populate (as long as you gave the right address and it matches your Apple order). Then, go to the hamburger menu > Tracking > View All Shipments, and it will be there.

Now we have to suffer. The people in the west coast. That day I only slept 2-3 hours. This pre-order has also been a disaster for many. Even I was freaking out when I couldn't get in at 5:03PST. I thought the shipping dates have been slipped already. All is well. Part of this thrilling experience!
On 9/11 I was 16 in English Lit class. I’ll never forgot the teachers panicking and rushing around. And the silence when the teacher turned on the TV.
I hated getting up at 3 AM. I was so glad they changed it to 8AM ET. I get to preorder right when I get to work.
Interesting... I searched for the tracking number like I always did (with the reference numbers) and got that screen/information. I opened my UPS app and found the info already populated and waiting for me.
I actually work there and am in the office usually one week each month.
I was born in Queens and grew up most of my like in NJ just a 45 min. train ride away from the city.
I've worked remote for more than 5 years now and just need to live near a major airport, so was finally sick of the winters in MI and wanted to be closer to family (but not too close). South Carolina won out. Close to the beach and Savannah, GA airport is less than an hour away!!

I didn't wait...sometimes that request to hold takes a day to process. If/when you can change it to CC hold, do so ASAP. Don't want it jumping on the truck...cause then you have to wait for the truck to get back from it's route by dinner time.BRUHHHH!....I got all worked up when I saw it show UPS Customer Center as an option on the MyChoice website.

It doesn't lol we operate 24/7. You can go outside and order food at 3AM just fine.
It still doesn't show any detail if I use the "track by reference"... but I can find the tracking number in the app and track it that way...never had any concern about being left behind... just anxious, like everyone else!

Yes...website, but I am in a different issue where I want it to ship to the CC in Lynchburg, VA versus my old home address in Grand Rapids, MI.
Worst case is I will have it deliver to my old next door neighbor, have my son grab it and then overnight to me.
Why did the phone have to come out in the middle of me living in three different locations hundreds of miles apart from each other?? 🤣
