One thing I don't miss is the days when we on the East Coast had to either stay up or wake up at 3am to do the preorder. That SUCKED!!!!

That being said, one of the best iPhone launches I ever experienced was when I was in line overnight for the iPhone 4 launch. Hanging out with family and friends all night long. Someone even came around passing out free 3rd party iPhone 4 cases. Haven't experience an iPhone launch like that ever since.
That did suck for the east coasters. Now it sucks for the west coasters. I preferred staying up til midnight then still getting 6-7 hours of sleep. Now I wake up at 5am and attempt to go back to sleep for a hour or two but I'm usually too hyped. I wouldn't mind them moving it to 6am PST / 9am EST instead.

Why canā€™t we meet in the middle? Give everyone a fair chance šŸ˜‚ is that possible? Letā€™s email Tim Cook.

6am PST / 9am EST would be nice too.

That one hour will make a big difference getting enough sleep.

I was living in DC and my junior high school was across the river from the Pentagon. I was in the bathroom looking out the window at the planes taking off from the airport when I saw the plane hit the Pentagon. I was so scared and freaked out and had a panic attack. I had nightmares for months because of that, and it took over 6 hours for me to get home. They made us shelter in the bomb shelter and no one in my family could get to me. My cell phone stopped working as well. My father immediately transferred me to the junior high school close to our house. I have these 2 huge 3 binder notebooks with newspaper clippings and other things from 9/11.
Wow! That's quite an experience. I have nothing like that but I lived in Brooklyn Heights across the river from the towers and watched them go up. Years later in FL I watched on the tv as they came down. It was life-altering, much less for me than for those more directly impacted but still life-altering.

My little iPhone is making progress! Not leaving for Anchorage yet I think!

That is what would happen to us. Either stay up until 3am and then hope you can fall asleep by 3:30am or wake up just before 3am and either fall back asleep or stay up the rest of the day.

Wow! The fact its from 2002 that's wild! Heartbreaking! Thank you so much for sharing.
This was my last shot of the WTC. Looking down either West Broadway or Greenwich Street while walking through The Village. Taken 9/1/2001. Each time I look at the picture I still can't believe it was that it was taken so close to the date of losing the Towers and all those poor people.

Yeah itā€™s showing up at $5.99 for me. Iā€™m going to wait until it hit the US and see if it changes. If it donā€™t then Iā€™ll pay the $5.99. Itā€™s convenient to get it early.
There is a possibility it's saying $5.99 because it's an international package. Maybe when it comes to the state and passes customs they may not even bother asking for the $$$. However, holding it at UPS CC you should pay ZERO dollars. It is free.
I wasn't charged for my CC hold...but I have a Paid My Choice account.

I'm in Phoenix, and I am almost always awake at 4 am... so it's not an issue for me... but I get your point. :D

If I change my delivery to local UPS Store will that delay delivery?
I don't see an option to have package held at my local UPS CC in the app?
I heard someone may have a upgrade promo code they'd be willing to share? ">@TheYayAreaLiving Hmmmmmm.....

I had to use my laptop and it showed all the way at the bottom. It wouldnā€™t show on the app on my phone.

I was there too that week...actually on 09/07...had a work dinner in Chinatown. Growing up there, was so used to seeing that same skyline for years. It was hard to go back for the first time 4 months later and it not looking the same. Took me another couple of years before I could even go downtown to the site.

I ordered from Spectrum Mobile on 09/09 and eta for delivery was 09/16. After purchase was completed it said I will get an email once it ships... still no email. I checked my bank and it shows the amount for the phone is pending.

Now I have been seeing everyone that ordered from Apple already has preparing to ship or shipped info for UPS. I'm hoping mine shipped as well and the email will come from UPS soon. I did sign up for a UPS account so I am alerted once something is marked for delivery to my house.

Anyone else order from Spectrum Mobile?
