I wonder we never seemed to be able to find what plane took us to Korea with UPS 91 taking us from there to Louisville. I wonder if there is a short hop like UPS 175 from China where the phones really were For UPS 91 and now we saw the same with 175 to the UPS 183 leaving shortly?

Seen a couple questions on why UPS175 showed up 30 minutes before ICN.

This is due to a lack of ADS-B coverage over China. ADS-B is the system used to track modern aircraft using radio signals and satellite. The receivers are very common across the US and Europe and less so in Asia. This data is then routed to apps such as FlightAware/Flightradar24 and even used by the ATC.

The flight left ZhangZhou at 4:57 local time but was not picked up by ADS-B until closer to South Korea. That’s the discrepancy. Happy tracking!

I wish I was more clever, more a part of the group. I have been here a few years and really really appreciate the info/tracking and love watching you guys have fun. But I haven’t really made any friends in here, so maybe I can stick around instead of disappearing on Friday like I always do, only to return a year later.

It’s funny because I barely use a phone, except to take pictures of my haworthia. I’m retired but rarely leave the house. I use my iPad for everything else. My 13pm still has 100% battery. It gets charged every few days unless there’s a dr appointment or something. Still I love seeing the new tech, and can’t wait for the 14!

It’s been a hard year, really hard. This group has helped me have something else to focus on so thanks for the silliness you all!

FYI I put in my request to pick up at the CC counter on Sunday. They immediately put a pending charge for the 5.99 on my Apple Card and it’s still pending. My choice immediately updated to delivery change requested. I think it will all go smoothly. Better than last year when I waited until after 6pm for the darn truck!

I will admit it here too it's been tough for me personally - sometimes really tough and almost unbearably tough, but I want to thank everyone else as well for providing some distraction from all the other things going on in the world. You all are great people and there is such a loving and wonderful community here. I just do it manually because if you do gmail, it will likely pull all of the past ones.

You should be OK, I’ve never had any concerns with it using my data. Different strokes for different folks though.

AfterShip reminds me of Flighty.

Flighty will send out alerts that your incoming plane has been cancelled or now has a two hour delay which will freak people out. The airline then swaps the plane before their app made mention of anything.

It's one of the reasons carriers of any sort do not like deep dives into tracking. The confusion / incomplete aspect of it.

Order confirmation still says the 16th. So I have a little hope still that Apple will deliver, but it’s fading.

There is still plenty of time. Don't stress. If it says the 16th it will arrive on the 16th.

Last year lots of iPhones didn't ship until Thursday morning. My iPhone got to Worldport early launch day morning, was on a plane to here at 4AM, landed around 6AM and was in my hot little hands at 11:30AM.

I put my hold request in, the night I got the full tracking # (Sunday?) and it's shows as still "Change Requested" on my UPS app. I should shift over when the phone clears customs in KY.

I wouldn't go past tomorrow without putting that Hold at CC request in to give it time to register in the system.

I was wondering about this: I put in the hold request this AM when my phone was between AK and KY, and everything seemed to be up to snuff. But the only thing I see in the app is that there's been a "change requested." I'm paranoid, so I'll likely call UPS again on Thursday and MAKE SURE I can get my phone Friday AM.
