Midnight Aluminum Series 8, 45 MM with slate blue band. I’m actually downgrading from a SS series 7. Felt like the SS was a little too heavy for my taste, and some of my bands (like the woven nylon, for example) were too light with that watch. Don’t get me wrong, it was a beautiful watch, though.
Nice! I wish they had Blue ones again this year, I really liked the one last year but didn't upgrade. Still haven't decided if I'm getting a new watch this year yet or not.

It will store the backup of the watch on the phone that it is currently paired to. If you backup that phone to iCloud then it will back it up securely there. If you back up to your MacBook as long as you make an encrypted secure backup then it will store things like wifi-password and health data. If you don't make them encrypted, these settings will not be saved and you'll have to reconfigure them when you restore.

Yeah thought that was case. Probably should not have upgraded old phone to 16.0 before I had unpaired watch to put that backup on the 15.6 phone and then backed it up to macbook finder. I always used macbook because I do not have large enough cloud storage (220 GB on phone right now, this is first year I have seen them give you free cloud spaced to update). Looks like now I have to update new phone to latest 16 also first before I proceed. I wonder if the QuickStart I did last year (and probably had done that with phone first I bet in instructions from somewhere) may also be better than cloud and my macbook finder iphone backup? I always archive and encrypt as well but will ponder QuickStart still since I have to update 14 first to latest 16.x version that is on my phone.

Some people are only seeing the last 4 digits of their tracking number and no shipping info other than delivery date. ITS A GLITCH! @Brad7 maybe this needs to go in your siggy?

In other news, stupid me made a dentist appointment for today, 6 months ago. Poor planning on my part! I'm going to be even more pages behind. 😩
Just tried, can’t, I’ve reached the character limit šŸ˜‚

Does anyone have an iPhone day tradition?

My thing every year, after the phone is all set up is I go to TGIF’s for dinner... yeah, I know it doesn’t sound all too exciting. It was a much more appealing idea when I was a teenager. But I think I did that starting with the iPhone 4, and the tradition stuck! Now it’s pretty much the one time of year I’ll willingly go there lol
Nice. I used to when I lived in KC. Pick up iPhone from UPS CC, go home and set it up, head out to Kansas City (Oklahoma) Joe's for some BBQ. I need to start that up again here in FL. Just need to find a place to eat after set up is done. Might be seafood now. :)

Come onnnnnnn!!!! Let’s gooooo!!!!
We are ready! Let's go!!!

If you are upgrading your phone and you do not mind using iCloud (some NEVER want to use it) Apple gives you temporary storage for 14 days to complete a full iCloud backup and get it on your new phone - then they will delete your data or give you the opportunity to then purchase iCloud if you wish.

Another option it to just do set up on the new phone say you don't want to restore from a backup and just blow through set up with the defaults and do not set up Apple ID or anything like that. Get to the home screen and then update it to the current iOS version that will match your current phone. Then Erase All Content and Settings on your new phone to bring it back to new. Then do the Quick Start set up with your old phone as it will work since the iOS versions will match.
