I believe so, yes. I haven't heard of anyone with 9/23 postal service that's still on 9/23
Of course it still says 9/23 on the Apple Store….

But yes, everyone here that was given the weird “Postal Service 9/23” status by Apple, and has tracking, is right on schedule for normal launch day 9/16 delivery by UPS. There are some people with later date ranges (i.e. 9/28-10/03 or similar) and the Postal Service tag that are still waiting for any motion. But we are pretty sure that when their order is ready to ship - it will be UPS.

I know this is the forum for the phones, but I just found out the AW Ultra (and I believe 8) requires the $60 35W power brick if you want the fastest charging 😒 There should really be an asterisk on the product page explaining this, especially as it boasts the fast charging as a feature. I understand it will still charge with other bricks, but still…
If you're concerned about battery degradation, which I am - and I know there's more than a few here that aren't happy their 13PMs are anything less than 98% (mine's at 96%)...Fast Charging is not good in the long term.

UPS 183 will be passing Wood Buffalo National Park. We are getting closer and closer

Tried UPS international again and they still can't even connect me with an agent unless I have a tracking number. Frustrating. I just want to have the thrill of following the planes with y'all.

When I finally do get my tracking info, I'm going to look back and see what wave I was a part of, though.

I spoke with member of management team from Apple Park Meadows (south Denver) about ordering there for in store pickup. Won't know until 16th what is available but if my 14PM is not shipped by late this weekend or early next week - going to try order/pickup at metro Apple stores (Park Meadows, Cherry Creek, Flatiron Crossing - or 29th Street store in Boulder).

Both the guy who helped me and his wife also ran into the pre-order delay so even they are unsure of when they will get their ordered phones (no tracking yet but probably after Thursday scans).

At this point my PM14 Pro Max is in the hands of Apple Jesus (non-sectarian).

Any Denver metro Apple folks feel free to assist!!

Mine is at 97% and it just dropped the last week to that. Not bad, especially compared to my 12Pro which had dropped to under 90% after less than a year. I always magsafe charge it, So i do wonder what the heat does to the battery, but since I'm on iUP I'm not too stressed about it. And this isn't even ever really fast charging it.

True, I intentionally slow charge my stuff when I can (by just plugging it into an ancient USB-A charger :)) and very rarely use wireless charging.

Speed (well, more precisely, current) is not the problem as much as temperature. And, absent other factors, current relates to heat quite directly. Batteries can take a lot of current without much (more) degradation IF their internal temperatures are as low as possible without going "too far" down (e.g. not much below room temp, but good luck keeping a charging lithium battery's internal temp anywhere even close to room temp, not gonna happen, I'm just saying don't stick it in your freezer not just b/c of this but also b/c of condensation issues).

So, when I do "fast charge" (quotes b/c there is no such thing as "fast charging" in the Apple mobile device world) I throw my phone on top of an ice pack. Not only does that allow it to charge faster (because the charge controller will allow more current to flow because it is checking the battery internal temp that is reported by the battery itself and regulating input current to stay within a range) but also, the peak temps are lower (e.g. at full current the temp is lower) so there is less damage to the battery.

That’s a good point, thank you :) Hopefully the 20W charger I already bought for it will be a happy medium. Or do you think that’d even be too high for healthy battery life?

Although my phone is sitting comfortably in Louisville (sipping a Mint Julep?), I'm so invested on those who's phones are taking in the beautiful Alaskan scenery... I'm rooting that the stragglers who are out hiking decide to finally board the plane so it can take off!
