I know this is the forum for the phones, but I just found out the AW Ultra (and I believe 8) requires the $60 35W power brick if you want the fastest charging 😒 There should really be an asterisk on the product page explaining this, especially as it boasts the fast charging as a feature. I understand it will still charge with other bricks, but still…
Doesn't the Apple Watch come with a charger or does it come with a standard charger? So anyone who purchased AW ultra needs to pay $60 for faster charging???

***UPDATE ON HOLDING AT HUB***
Just popped into my local hub. Talked to a super nice guy who said if they are here Thursday night you can have them held but they do charge a fee per package now. Said it’s a new thing they do to cut down on the amount of packages held. He also said if they arrive here Friday morning and I have them held I’m not getting them u til Monday! Argh. I have to be out of town my noon. Guess I have to wait and see when they actually arrive at my local hub!
Wait what.. if they arrive Friday you can’t pick up on Friday? Confused

@julit0 I'm not a big fan of this AfterShip app. The only thing I like is it gives you good details but it’s confusing and not well organized. Also, it notifies you so that’s good.
AK departure scan is in. Came in almost 30 min ago. Thought you all saw. Been trying to catch up on pages. 😂

I don't like iUP because you have to call to pay off early instead of just going on VZW's site and clicking a few things.
If you do iPhone Upgrade Program and get a loan financed through Citizens you can pay off the loan early if you choose through their website. You just have to remember that if you pay anything over your monthly amount your monthly payment the next month is still due. Some people think if they double up one month then they don't owe the next month's payment and essentially can skip that, but it's not the case.

I have one of those laying around. But my watch always charges overnight, so it's immaterial to me personally

I too didn’t quite understand that but I repeated what he said and he agreed again. At this point I’m just waiting to see when they land at the hub and then I’ll decide the course of action.

Cool haven't done iUP in a while since I never have issues with financing through VZW. Just make sure to pickup in and Apple store since VZW always seems to have issues with getting the trade in.

OT: same thing here, the fast charging is not that big of a deal for me, since I charge my day watch at night, so i figure slower is better for the battery, In the morning I swap it with my night watch so it charges slowly too. I keep the fast charging cable in my EDC bag incase i ever need a quick charge if an app got stuck and drained the battery quickly (It's happened). I also keep a nice slim Anker 30W charger in their to use with it.

I think that should work. As long as you request to be held at your hub before they start sorting, you should be good. But if you wait too long they may already be going on trucks so you will have to wait for it to come back and allocated for pickup.
