No, you will. They always ship like this before launch. If you have a launch day delivery you will get it on that day.
Up to you, there is a fee to hold delivery at the customer center now, but you'll be able to go pick it up in the morning rather than wait perhaps all day for the truck to arrive. Also as @Whistler Mac said, make sure to pick your assigned CC, not a store.

I think if you switch it to a UPS store, then you will definitely not get it on launch day, unless you are talking about a Customer Center (CC), then yes, you can get it on launch day. If you are home all day, then it's best to just let it arrive at home.

As of today most of our iPhones are still sitting in KY and next scan/update will be on Thursday in UPS app. Tracking# will be updated in apple app or email confirmation by Apple on Thursday only.

Departed from ZhenZhou 2 times, once after leaving Anchorage. Departed from InCheon 2 times. Supposedly now in Incheon after leaving Anchorage. Hope I can get the air mileage rewards.
