I believe that Apple is deliberately only showing “processing” on many orders to keep people from hammering the shipping tracking services. All need to relax and there should be tracking soon.

still says preparing for shipment for both my phone and my wife’s. but UPS has them both leaving alaska yesterday morning 😊😊
Never mind, I was viewing on the Tapatalk app. When I switch to web, I can do it.I used to be able to do that but it still doesn’t show in landscape. I must have a setting screwed up somewhere.

I think it’s the same every year, the status of the phone changes the day before delivery to ‘shipped’ with the tracking number. This should happen in the next few hours 💪🏽
Question, I haven’t ordered yet because I just want to go pick it up at the store. It doesn’t let me select store pick up as an option until tomorrow.
If I order today, am I able to change to in store pick up or should I just wait to order tomorrow and see if it lets me do in store pick up?

I believe anything ordered before tomorrow is shipping in one month (mid+ Oct) - now if you attempt to order on launch day and see if there's pick up options it will likely differ by store pending on inventory something tells me there will be very little units but your best bet is to try midnight to see if the inventory/location pick up finder will show you any results. My buddy also wants one and didn't pre-order and is in the same boat.

I’m in a windowless conference room this week. They did give us one with windows last week though. Gotta count those blessings.
What I am interested to see today is, if my delivery date changes from Sep. 23rd Postal service to tomorrow. I have been tracking it on UPS out of ANC, so I am sure it will change today.
I had success obtaining my full tracking number by chatting with UPS and providing my reference number (phone number) and requesting the full tracking number.
Thanks, I wasn’t sure, but when I saw the times for pick up again I had a second thought on what if I went for the first phone since it’s right at 10am versus 12pm 🤣

Pretty sure it will. During the same time my tracking number popped up in UPS, I got the Prepare for your new iPhone message in settings.
Sure thing you know how the store allows you to change your zip code and view what local store in the area may have the item in inventory for that same-day $9 delivery? what I would do is come midnight I would add the phone I want to cart and play with the zipcode locator (and spec changing) to make the local inventory results hopefully display something I can reserve. I am happy I ended up pre-ordering, I also hate spending a lot without instant gratification and I hate waiting but ultimately, I am happy because I don't have to rush - most pre-orders now lean towards the end of next month; zero patience lol
If you order it as home delivery, you cannot change that same web order into in store pick up. You will have to start a new order.
For the record, it's actually at 6 AM your local time when the apple store will show in-stock available starting 9/16/22.
the Available for in-store will reappear tomorrow at 6 AM your local time. Not midnight
